JD Davis Funeral Home

On February 8, 2020 this funeral home provided services for my deceased daughter. The funeral home provided a nice service for daughter, but once the services and burial were completed I failed to hear back from the owner/director *** regarding my daughter's headstone. I paid the funeral home with proceeds from my daughter's insurance policy, which was to include a headstone for her. I have attempted to contact *** on several different occasions and he avoids my phone calls or he takes my calls, but continues to give me the run around about the headstone. I spoke with him on Friday, September 18th and requested that he send me a picture of the headstone draft and he stated that he would send it to me that day. Unfortunately, I did not hear anything back from him as promised. I told him during that conversation that if I did not receive a picture of the headstone I wanted my money back for the headstone. He assured me that he would take care of sending the picture and getting the headstone. It has been seven months since I lost my daughter and dealing with Mr. has added unnecessary anxiety to my grieving. I have tried to resolve this matter with him and he repeatedly avoids me and has not kept his word. I cannot grieve in peace due to this iunfinished business matter with the funeral home.

My mother-in-law passed away November 2019, and we paid the funeral home from her insurance money. The funeral home was contracted to pay the cemetery for their services, and they had avoided paying them. The funeral home issued a check to the cemetery and the check bounced. The funeral home director has since alluded phone calls concerning the debt. Our family had continued to be called by the cemetery requesting payment, and our grief continues due to shady business practices and owners.
