Had JD Faris installed first HVAC central air unit a couple of years ago which has failed miserably from the very beginning and then sold me a second replacement unit for the very same house, I paid for on 01 Feb 2017 with a written install date of Feb 11th 2017 and after literally dozen of calls and texts he just installed last Wednesday the 21th June 26 2017, five months after I paid him and it to has failed miserably, after several attempts by him to fix it every single day since then,and the unit still not working to this day he actually said I owed him an additional 2K for all the hard work he did. I informed him that I would seek help else where and at this point he became belligerent, using profanity and making threats, and said he was keeping all my warranty paper work until I paid him for all his great work, so I can't even attempt warranty service with the defective units manufacturer as a result. I have Informed him not to trespass, harass or ever call me, my family or friends as he even went so far as to say he was going to my church to let every one know that I stole from him. Everyone has been informed as to who he is, what he looks like, drives and known associates and to immediately call the police if he makes any contact what so ever. Restraining order is where we are at. Now having to get a real Company to start over at great expense for possibly a 3rd unit for the same house. Don't take my word, he has multiple complaints on file with the Revdex.com just this year. Look up JD Faris and save your self a nightmare.

Review: I hired JD Faris to move and replace my furnace and HVAC unit to an "all-in-one" unit relocated outside of the home. One year after the installation the unit broke. I called James and he informed me that he no longer ran his own business and he would only be able to help us through his new employer. I hired a well known business in Richmond (Automatic Heating and Air) to come out and evaluate my unit. They determined the unit that was installed in my house was WAY too large and it was doomed to continue breaking because the ducts were too small for the unit. Basically the only solution to the issues is to replace the entire unit which is only a year old!Desired Settlement: I would like to demand that James return the money I paid him for the unit and the installation because it all has to be completely re-done. I would like to hire to get the properly sized unit purchased and installed.

Review: I hired J.D. Faris to repair a washing machine. I found him via Home Advisor where it stated "All work is guaranteed for 60 days". After his first visit he told me I needed a part which he had in stock. He returned several days later, installed the part, told me the machine was working, and left. When I ran the machine the following weekend it still did not work. I called him back. He returned a few days later and told me I needed yet another part which he had to order insisting I pay for it in advance, which I did. He returned several days later with the part, installed it, again told me the machine was working, and left. Again, when I tried to run it the following weekend it did not work. I called him back. At that time said he didn't know what else to do and would buy a new machine. That was an unsolicited offer but by this time I had spent over $600 with this man and figured he owed me something. He asked that I give him some time to get the new machine and he would be in touch. When we got in touch again and he said he would be contacting me to schedule the delivery of the new machine. About another week or so went by and I did not hear from him. I finally reached him by phone and he acted like he didn't know who I was. I was frustrated and lost my temper with him. He said "I don't owe you a thing" and hung up on me. I called him back and said I just want to know when you are going to make the delivery. He said "later today or tomorrow". This was on June 23 (my first call to him was May 23). I have not heard from him since. In the meantime I've gone out and bought a new machine. The bottom line is: I spent over $600 with this man who offered a 60 day guarantee and I was left with a machine full of new parts but that still didn't not work. In the process he was rude and disrespectful.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back. The total spent for parts and labor was $615.20, $140 labor and the rest parts.
