Review: Mr Peck was to perform concrete work for me at or about May 26, 2014. Since May 26 was a holiday, he called me and said he would be a couple of days later due to the holiday and extra work he had to perform for his current customer. I waited over 2 weeks and I never heard from Mr. Peck any further. I got tired of waiting and called him to tell him to forget about the concrete job for me and that I had a new contractor who was willing to do it. He told me on the phone that he would keep the $300 I paid him for a "scheduling Fee". I was to pay him $1200 before the concrete was laid or any work was to be done according to the job proposal I had signed. When I called him, Mr. Peck agreed to send me a document saying the Proposal Contract which I had signed was null and void, and that he would send me 1/2 of my $300 dollar scheduling fee (or $150) back as a refund. I never received anything from J. D Peck Concrete. I wish to receive a voided proposal from Mr Peck so that my new contractor can do the work for me without another contract existing for it.Desired Settlement: For a settlement I would like 1/2 of my "Scheduling Fee" of $300 returned to me ($150.00) and I would like to receive a written document from Mr. Peck stating that the Proposal I had signed is now NULL and VOID as he said he would do on the Phone to me. This would allow another contractor to do the job for me.

Response:
Company phoned Revdex.com today indicating they spoke with customer and were mailing out the $150 that should have been previously been sent, but was an oversight.
Consumer
Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. J.D Peck has agreed to send me $150 as a refund of the money I paid as a "Scheduling Fee". J.D. Peck has also agreed to send something in writing that says I no longer have a contract with J.D Peck for repairs to my porch.
