Groupon would benefit the customer. Unfortunately, Groupon misunderstood what we were trying to get across, and I have been in contact with them several times trying to resolve the issue of the wording on the add.
However, the payment part of it works as follows. When you enter your card information and approve the payment, Groupon charges the amount. Once the coupon is redeemed at the merchant, Groupon cuts their percentage to the merchant. It is not until the Groupon is redeemed at the merchant, that the merchant sees any money.
Unfortunately in your case, we were not able to redeem your Groupon because of the misunderstanding with the wording of the add, and you do not agree with the terms that we have set for it.
That being said, Groupon is the only way to get your money back because at this point, they are the only ones who have seen any of your money.
As you saw in the emails we exchanged, I offered to refund your money. However, because we are not Groupon, I do not have the means to refund the money to your card. I would be happy to mail a check in the amount that you were charged by Groupon.
Again, I do apologize for all of the misunderstandings and hope that this resolves some of this issues you have experienced.
