We transported the motorcycle for one of our customer who claimed the damages of $900. The insurance company denied the claim and then the customer turned to us for repairs. We have identified the minor pre existing damage which...

was repainted (Existing damage which our driver to marked on the Bill of Lading at the time of pick up). and offered customer a courtesy $300 reimbursement toward her transport. We have the BOL proving that there was no damage and customer is still asking for a $900 reimbursement. We are sorry, but we can not provide such reimbursement for the preexisting issues. If we were to do so we would already be out of business, since almost all used motorcycles have some types of scratches, especially the 1980's motorcycle. Sincerely, JDK TRANSPORT INC.

Review: I hired these bozos through a broker to transport my 1956 Cadillac from ny to ar. They used a forklift to pick up my car from the trailer and put a hole through my new gas tank then when they delivered it, refused to let me inspect the car demanding payment. After I paid them $950, I find a fresh glob of jb weld on my gas tank along with dents and scratches, also when I got in the car, they broke the gear shift [redacted] into. The piece was laying in the back floor. Terrible service! I immediately called the "dispatcher" and was called names and cussed at. The guy "[redacted]" (like [redacted] but with a t) was completely aware of what happened and taunted me saying " you signed the delivery slip, nothing you can do about it" and laughed at me. I filed a claim with their ins company and the adjuster said they a reliable but the damage doesn't exceed their deductible so they aren't getting involved.. This transport outfit damaged my car, refused to let me inspect it on delivery, tried to hide the damage, then taunted me when I found out. Scammers. Don't do business with This company!!! I trusted their 5 star ratings- what a joke!!!!Desired Settlement: Refund my money and replace what they damaged. An apology would be nice but unexpected.

Review: I paid JDK to deliver a motorcycle I purchased from CA to NY. I have pictures of it leaving CA in perfect condition. It was delivered with severe damage (all of which I took photographs of immediately after delivery). Upon delivery, JDK admitted there was some damage, but tried to convince my girlfriend (she was receiving it because JDK gave me a 1 hr warning to be home on a 2 wk transport, without any additional heads up, and I could not make it home in time) that it was okay that the Bill of Lading had no damage noted, that everything was already settled and they would take care of everything. Only after her insisting, they agreed to note some of the damages, or at least all that she could find in the dark at that point. Upon coming home that night, I immediately took photographs of all the damage and had the motorcycle transported to a body shop (it was not driveable due to the damage). The body shop completed an invoice with damages and took photographs of all the damages. I forwarded both along to JDK, expected them to cover it as promised. I also talked to the seller of the motorcycle and the shipping company that hired JDK, who also expected JDK to act. JDK first tried to say they would only cover some of the damages, then after realizing that I would proceed with filing this claim with insurance, they sent several aggressive emails filled with various lies and accusations, saying they will not cover anything. In brief, JDK picked up a motorcycle in perfect condition, dropped it during transport and delivered it to me in horrible shape with thousands of dollars of damage (about $5,000 to be exact, according to invoice provided by a [redacted] licensed dealer - and I have time stamped photographs and proof of everything), and then instead of accepting their responsibility and liability for failing to complete the job, they have tried to resort to every lie/trick/aggressive maneuver to get out of making me whole.Desired Settlement: All I wanted and still want is for JDK to pay for the repairs to get the bike back to the condition it was in before they picked it up for transport. I am not even mentioning the fact that after $5,000 of repairs on a $10,000 motorcycle, the resale value of the bike decreases significantly (it is all noted in the system) and also just the general fact that instead of having my means of transportation a month ago, I am already 4 weeks and counting without that means of transportation, having to find other ways to get around. But I am not even asking for any compensation for any of those aspects, simply to pay for the repairs that the Ducati dealer invoiced them for. I'm happy to have anyone else look at it as well for 2nd and 3rd opinions, because everything is pretty clear here and documenting - the bike experienced severe damage during JDK's transport. I want them to accept responsibility (which at first they didnt even try to deny) and fully repair my bike.

Review: My motorcycle was picked up by JDK Transport Inc. on 10/10/14 in Somers, NY and

transported by JDK Transport Inc. in an ENCLOSED trailer to [redacted] The motorcycle was delivered to me at my home in [redacted] on 10/24/14.

JDK's truck driver and I inspected the motorcycle upon pick up in NY and BOTH of us signed a clean Bill of Lading. This means that we both agreed that there was no existing damage on the motorcycle when it was picked up.

JDK's truck driver and I inspected the motorcycle upon delivery in ** and BOTH of us signed the Bill of Lading with noted damages to the motorcycle (via a written description and drawing) on the Bill of Lading. This means that we both agreed that there is now damage to the motorcycle which occurred during transport between NY and **.

Per the obligations under JDK's contract the damages were specifically written down on the Bill of Lading when the motorcycle was delivered and signed accordingly by JDK's driver. The driver clearly acknowledged the existence of the damages to the motorcycle by signing. Subsequently, a description of the damages along with pictures were e-mailed to [redacted], owner of JDK Transport on October 27, 2014.

They were e-mailed to [redacted] has also received a copy of the repair estimate from [redacted]son. I have paid [redacted]son $903.93 to repair the damages to the motorcycle.

In summary, JDK Transport's driver acknowledged the damages incurred during transport to the motorcycle when he signed the Bill of Lading upon delivery. He acknowledged the motorcycle was damage free when he signed a clean Bill of Lading upon pick up.

[redacted], the owner of JDK Transport Inc., has refused to pay for the damages incurred by his driver / staff during transport of my motorcycle.

JDK Transport Inc needs to take responsibility for damaging the motorcycle and reimburse me the cost of repairs in the amount of $903.93.Desired Settlement: JDK Transport Inc needs to take responsibility for damaging the motorcycle and reimburse me the cost of repairs in the amount of $903.93.
