Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below RESPONSE TO Revdex.com RE: ID [redacted] KITCHEN CABINET RENOVATION BY JDLS RENOVATIONS, LLS We do not accept the response from JDLS RenovationsInitial meeting took place 4/5/in our kitchenWe wanted our cabinets refurbished by paintingJustice said new doors & drawer fronts would be the budget-friendly choice by significantly reducing labor costs He assured us all of the cabinets would look brand new in “no time”Regretfully we believed in himJDLS blatantly broke contract dated 4/5/(paragraph A under warranty)Job remains incomplete as of this date (3/24/2017) and quality of the work supposedly done is extremely unsatisfactory to clientCabinets appear hastily painted without appropriate preparation i.efilling holes, sanding surfaces, addressing any trim issues, etcUse of flashlight was only in hopes of assisting Justice to see the issues that were clearly seen by others (including a reputable, certified contractor) without additional illuminationIn several instances, inaccurate measuring by JDLS resulted in the necessity of re-ordering drawer fronts which created delays that could have been avoidedStill never received a missing door that was paid for but never ordered, painted and installed We did our part in providing a pet-free, child-free, clear work environment, but on numerous occasions Justice was a “No Show” in spite of a confirmed commitment to the day and timeCould not get a response back on those days and usually for days & days thereafter by text or email and never by phone No viable reasons and only a one time apology when he did finally replyI have a record of all of the texts and emails that were sent and receivedKitchen contents are still stored in both the guest room and lower level family room to clear the area for alleged work to be performed This reduced function of the kitchen and clutter of those areas continues to create extreme frustration and inefficiency in our daily lifeContractors are very hesitant to step in and fix other contractor’s messes In the best possible scenario, we’ll be put on a lengthy waiting list and it will cost us plenty beyond our current investment To complete the project will take much more than installing remaining drawers and still missing drawer fronts and cabinet doorBecause of inferior work, a fair amount of do-over will be requiredRemaining paint promised by JDLS has never been providedThis ongoing nightmare has sucked the joy out of what a newly renovated kitchen should produce!!! n response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint: On January 9, 2017 I told Mr. [redacted] he will have to find another contractor to complete his work. I have refinished his cabinets and returned to his house on more than one occasion to complete the job and he has repeatedly not been satisfied with the...

refinishing. I returned the money for the drawer slides to him, the boxes for the drawers are at his house, and the the amount paid was not the full amount. I did not charge him the full amount because I knew there is absolutely no way he will ever be satisfied with the job. The cabinet boxes were old with many nicks, nail holes, and dents. These were filled and refinished but he repeatedly said "it has to be done to my satisfaction or the job is not done". It is impossible to refinish boxes that were previously worn from years of wear and tear. On more than one occasion Mr. [redacted] has shined a flashlight on the finished cabinets to find imperfections. I told him if you were to shine a flashlight on new cabinets you would find imperfections far less 20 year old cabinets. At this point I realized it was impossible to satisfy him. I returned his money for the drawer slides I told him do not pay me the rest of the money for the job. I then unfortunately, agreed to return to install the drawers. The drawer had to be retrofitted and drawer slides installed. I began to install the drawers and because of the retrofitting the fronts were not fitting to his satisfaction. I then reordered draw fronts and these too were not to his satisfaction. I then told him he will have to reorder the drawer fronts himself or wait until I was financially able to reorder another batch of doors. I provided him with all of the information to order. I will not work for Mr. [redacted],  his idea of refinished cabinets is not realistic. He will have to find someone else to install the drawers and drawer fronts at this point.
