I hired *** of JDM and Associates to rehab and rebuild my second story deck that is over an enclosed sunroom. The contractor had rebuilt my cousin’s home after they had a fire and the home looked beautiful after the work was done so I had confidence that his work is good. I thought he was a professional contractor and would do a proper job. It took over a year for him to complete the work with several periods of not showing up and multiple excuses. He finally had the slate tile installed about a year after the work started claiming it would not leak. He never painted any of the new wood that was used, claiming that it was not part of the estimate. The first time it rained there were leaks everywhere pouring into the sunroom below. We notified him and he had a worker come out and give it a coat of ***’s Water Seal. It rained again shortly after and it leaked the same as before. I asked him to please at least cover the deck with plastic due to more rain in the forecast and he said that he didn’t have any. The deck is in need of being completely redone.
