J.E. Christine Convenience Transport

Review: This trucker was paid $1600 by me to transport my horses from Maryland to Florida. He picked them up Jan. 5, 2016. The next morning, he called to say he was broken down in Pennsylvania and to get someone to get my horses off his trailer. He never explained why he was going in the opposite direction from Florida and refused to reveal his exact location, telling me to give someone his cell phone number.

He told me and I quote, "They're your horses. Send someone to get them off my trailer." He made no attempt to handle the situation himself, to find a temporary place for them off the trailer or to rent another truck. I had to call the Pennsylvania State Police to find out that he had his truck towed to his home in Pennsylvania.

Fearing for the safety of my animals, I found Buffalo Run boarding facility to rescue them from his trailer and hired another company to take them to Florida. He had the nerve to call a couple days later to say his truck was fixed and he would take my horses to Florida and since he was offering to do this, he didn't have to refund my $1600 payment. There was no way I would endanger my animals further by entrusting them to him. The boarding facility charged me $1775.00 for boarding and transport and I want to be reimbursed by him for these added expenses.Desired Settlement: Pay additional expenses of $1775 and warn the general public of this person's incompetence and lack of responsibility.

Christine Convenience Transport.According to the information I have received, Mr. C[redacted] entered into a contract with [redacted] of [redacted], Maryland to transport horses to the State of Florida. When Mr. C[redacted] picked up the horses in Maryland, he began having mechanical difficulties with his truck. As a result, he did not believe that he could safely make the trip to Florida and returned to his home in Pennsylvania. Mr. C[redacted] immediately notified Ms. [redacted] of the difficulty and informed her that it would be necessary to board the horses until his truck could be repaired. Ms. [redacted] was charged $1,775.00 for boarding the horses.After Mr. Christine’s truck was fixed, he contacted Ms. [redacted] and informed her that he would be more than happy to complete the parties’ contract. Ms. [redacted] refused. In Mr. C[redacted]’s view, Ms. [redacted] breached the contract when she did not allow him to complete the same. Mr. C[redacted]s estimated lose in that regard was $1,000.00.Ms. [redacted] has been refunded her money in the amount of $1,600.00. To resolve this matter, Mr. C[redacted] is willing to offer the sum of $775.00 in full and final settlement.
