Review: I went to this salon for a brazilian wax on Saturday September **, 2013. The woman who did my wax was [redacted] (I got this name from a nail technician certification that was on the wall). During the wax [redacted] continuously double dipped the stick she was using to wax me and continuously used the same wax strip for multiple areas. I asked her not to do this, as I'm quite sure double dipping is illegal in NY and it is extremely unsanitary, especially considering the area being waxed; she continued to do this throughout the wax. Furthermore, her waxing technique was seriously lacking, as she didn't pull the skin taut, which caused my hair to break instead of being pulled out at the root. When she was done, she did not leave the room while I got dressed (I had to ask her to leave the room when I got undressed before the wax started). I asked her if she had an esthetician certification (because of how poor of a job she did); she said she did have one but it was at home and if I came back Tuesday, she would show it to me. I do not believe she was certified. I've had plenty of Brazilian waxes in my life and never had such a horrible job done. When I left I was in pain and had to go home and tweeze out dozens and dozens of remaining hairs.Desired Settlement: I was charged $33.60 and would like a full refund of this amount because of the unsanitary and incomplete wax that was done. I would also like someone to look into whether or not the woman who waxed me is certified in anyway and confirm this for me. Thank you.

I am truly sorry that you had a bad experience at our salon. This is the first complaint of its kind towards my employees, as we have a strict policy for cleanliness procedures in place. I have interviewed my personnel to review proper waxing procedures and have determined that all procedures are being followed. . Also, all my estheticians are all properly licensed and have all licenses displayed at the entrance to the premises, so there is never a reason to question if any of our employees are licenses to perform salon or spa duties. Because I was not present during your procedure I cannot concur what actually occurred. Please be advised that I will be sending you a check for a full refund.
