On October 12, 2015 the customer reported to Central TV that her television she is buying on contract off of them is malfunctioning.  This TV was purchased/on contract on 12/20/2013 from Central TV in Terre Haute, IN.  We did the repair on the TV, but for it to be properly tested and...

repair confirmed, we had to bring it back to our service shop to complete the job.  The LED assembly was a bad part in the tv, and we repaired it, tested it and everything was repaired correctly and to the customers satisfaction.  The customer called back to the store and reported that she had scratches on the outer edge of her television that were not there before.  My technician that was there reported the home to be in very poor condition, several cats and dogs, and terribly dirty.  (He tried to repair it in the home, but the condition of the house and all the animal hair we had to get it back to the shop.) To continue, we then went back to the home and picked up the tv yet again for no charge to the customer, and brought it back to the shop to see what kind of scratches there were if any on there.  There was a lot of cat and dog hair, and dirt, but no visible scratches.  I called the customer and asked her where she seen the scratches, and she then got very rude about the whole issue, saying we damaged her tv and that she demanded a new one.  I informed her that there were no scratches that I could even see myself and that it was just regular wear and tear from the 3 years she has had the unit, and that there was lots of pet hair and dirt/dust on it I seen no scratches she was reporting.  The customer said that she demands we deliver the tv back to her immediately and that if we don't she is going to call the police on us and let them know that we stole her tv and refuse to repair the damages and replace her tv.   I believe that there is some kind of unfortunate mental illness this customer suffers from.  She refused to listen that I wasnt saying we went going to deliver it back, there was nothing to repair, and there was never any scratches on the tv when we picked it up or delivered it back, and now that it was back in the shop I didn't see anything wrong at all except for filfthy dirt and animal hair.   The customer then went on to hang up and call back about a dozen times, threatening to come down here to the store or sending her daughter to the store.  She even told me that now that she has worked herself up if we deliver the tv back to her home and there are still scratches, she was going to sick her dogs on our service people that are delivering the tv!!!   At this point, I think I made the decision that this is not a stable person.  Going to this customers house is no longer an option, and that at this point I am not comfortable talking to her anymore and definitely not sending my service representatives back to a home that may be a potential hazard or a threat to them physically or mentally. Mrs. [redacted] said that she is disabled and can't come pick up the tv, and I told her that the option for us to come back to her home after all the negativity that just went on is not going to happen, but she is welcome to have someone pick it up for her. The customers "daughter" then called the store, and probably called about 4 times before calming down, she threatened to call the police and tell them we stole the tv, basically the same thing Mrs [redacted] was saying to begun with.  I am going to copy and paste what she said below:  11:48AM MS. [redacted]S "DAUGHTER" CALLED AND SAID THAT SHE IS GOING TO PRESS CHARGES ON US FOR NOT DELIVERING HER MOMS TV BACK AND THAT HER MOTHER IS DISABLED AND CANNOT PICK UP THE TV HERSELF.  SHE CONTINUED TO THREATEN THAT SHES GOING TO PUT OUT NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND CALL THE Revdex.com, AND TELL EVERYONE OUR COMPANY IS TERRIBLE.  ALSO SHE SAID SHE CANT WAIT TO GET HERE TO SHOW ME WHAT A REAL THREAT IS...SO IM NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS EXACTLY, I GUESS WE WILL FIND OUT.   To make a long story a little shorter, she didn't show up when I was at my desk, but she did show up at the store with a Vigo county sheriffs officer to pick up her mothers TV later that evening around I think 5 or 6 pm.  The customer picked up the TV and we have not heard from the customer since then. This customer I believe is trying to get a newer TV.  There was no damage done to it, because it never existed.  I  think that Mrs [redacted] is suffering from a mental condition, and that we would have gladly delivered it back to her if she hadn't threatened me or my service representatives.     Thank You,  Jeannie's TV & Appliance 5015 S.
