Jean's Cleaners

This past June I brought 3 Jackets to Jeans Cleaners on North Street in Pittsfield Ma. This past weekend I put one of the Jackets on and it had shrunk at least three sizes. The sleeves were way above my wrists and the body was so I couldn't zip it and the jacket itself was very short. I was mortified. I brought these jackets to be dry cleaned.I took the jacket to Jeans and showed it to a woman who I think might have been the owner. She grabbed the jacket and proceeded to look at the label. She flipped it over and said see it says hand wash. She said we do what ever the label says. Well the jacket was 100% wool.that is why it should be dry cleaned. They are in the cleaning business they should know this. This is a jacket that you would wear in the winter over your sweater or whatever. It was a very good quality jacket.She asked me where I bought the jacket and said I should return it to them.Well I bought it at Tj Max and told her I didn't have the slip so that was not possible. Then she said well call the manufacturer. I said you ruined the jacket why would I call them. She never apologized that she had ruined my jacket and proceeded to turn around and walk away. So there I was jacket in hand and no solution.Desired SettlementI thought this whole thing was handled in a rude manner. She had no remorse for ruining my jacket and offered me no solution. Therefore I decided to report Jeans Cleaners to the Revdex.com and to ask for at least $75 compensation.Business Response Please accept our sincere apologies for this incident. We are very careful in following the instructions that are provided to us by the manufacturers, and sometimes the dry-cleaner gets the wrong information in processing. We are grateful for all of our customers that come to Jeans Cleaners and We will be more than happy to come to a fair resolution. Please provide us with a receipt and age of the sweater so we can compensate you for your loss. Again, please accept our apologies.
