J.E.B. Tiling & Stone

J.E.B. Tiling and Stone was contracted to repair a faulty shower. The owner, Jeremiah Black, identified the scope of the work as 1 and 1/2 days work to regrout the shower, and additional work to construct a marble slab to protect part of the shower from further water damage. He was paid $600 for the shower regrout, and reported he would return to complete the marble slab later for an additional fee. The error on our part was in paying for the shower regrout prior to completion, and not obtaining additional estimates. He did not regrout all of the shower, only damaged portions, finished the job in less than 5 hours, and when later contacted about the marble seat, he reported that it was no longer worth his while ("repair jobs are a headache he doesn't need"). I expressed my dissatisfaction, first in his not completing the full scope of work presented up front, and second his his not following through with the second portion of the job. His response suggested that he did not care, and did not wish to conduct further business with me.
