FACT OF THE MATTER EVERYTHING WAS RETURNED BUT THE PACKING WAS PLACED IN THERE SO THEY COULD NOT SAY ANYTHING WAS MISSING ! WHEN I GET A PRODUCT, I TAKE EVERYTHING OUT OF THE BOX TO MAKE SURE IT WORKS AND MAKE SURE EVERY PART IS THERE ! when the customer called to return the product he said the item was no longer needed He did not mention the order was received in bad condition Since the item was not defective the customer was responsible for the return shipping Our return policy states that items are to be returned in the original packaging and in resellable condition attached are comments entered into the customers account regarding the condition of the return and comments entered when the customer contacted Maxi Aids to return the item Maxi Aids followed proper protocol following our policies

Nedtek Computer Solutions Ltdis a very small family run businessWe started it in July and we take great pride and care in making sure all our customers are happyIn the years of business we have only had a few minor complaints and with those we made a strong effort to resolve the issue to the customer's satisfactionWe do very little advertising so word of mouth is very important to usOur good standing with social media and the Revdex.com is also very important to us
I received your letter concerning *** *** on Feb 23rdWe have done business with *** in the past and have had a good and trusting relationship with her like we have with our other customers*** knows that I would do anything to help her if I could
*** had been shopping for a laptop and dropped into our office several times to look at our refurbished productsWe spent a considerable amount of time helping *** and answering all of her questionsOn January 5th she decided to purchase one of our Refurbished *** laptopsShe also wanted to upgrade the hard drive to a solid State, install an anti-virus and put her old drive into an external enclosure*** is a very nice lady and very frugal as well a tough negotiatorI ended up throwing in for free the anti-virus, the enclosure and about $*** worth of free serviceThis was fine and she was happy with her purchaseOn Jan 7th two days later *** was back, she had changed her mind and wanted the refurbished ***She returned everything and we gave her a full refund
*** then purchased the refurbished ***The *** had a Day warranty which *** was very much aware of and I had offered the extended warranty several times on the day of purchase but she declinedA few days later *** came in with the laptop saying the screen had an inch or so that was blank on one endWe looked at it right away while she was there but we could not duplicate the issueI asked *** if she was ok with this and if she was happy because that was the time to express any concernsShe said she was happyIf I'm not mistaken *** left the province or had gone away for a few weeks visiting family but I'm not sure of the timeline hereWhen she came back from her trip she brought it in again but again we could not duplicate the issueWe kept it for a day or two for a longer power up test but were still unable to duplicate the issueIt had worked flawlessly the whole time we had itWe could not send it back for repair without an issue designated, our distributor would send it right back to us saying "no fault found"We gave it back to *** and again she seemed happy*** then used the product for close to a year without a single issueOn January 28, *** dropped the laptop off to us but this time half the screen was distortedWe quoted $for repair which was at our cost plus installationWe tried to see if we could still get it covered under warranty with our supplier but could not*** said she would call around to see if she could get a better price somewhere else
On Feb 2, I began receiving emails from ***'s son ***Most of his content I found insulting, aggressive and threating but I tried to resolve the issue for his mother anywayAlthough her unit was out of warranty I offered to provide another unit for *** at my cost($***)This was turned down*** now had declared war on Nedtek and I have yet to hear from *** (personally)*** has not expressed one word of concern to me the entire time she owned the laptopShe never told me she was unhappyEven on January 28, when she came in to pick up the laptop she did not express any concerns to meI also believe that I'm still dealing with *** with the Revdex.com complaint not ***
Nedtek works very hard to maintain its good reputation and *** who we all like a lot here, knows that we are very reasonable and easy goingIf *** wanted a refund in the first days or maybe even days we would have happily done so without hesitationBut we are learning of her concerns through her son over a year after she purchased the productWe can only do what we think is right or fairA full refund would not be acceptable at this point and I'm not sure why the apology as I have dealt with ***'s emails in a professional mannerWe did not receive ***'s offer to pay for half of the repair
I would ask the Revdex.com to speak to *** directly by phone if possible as I don't believe she wrote or submitted the Revdex.com complaint*** has made angry threats and has been very insulting to me by email, I do not believe *** who is really my customer feels the same wayI don't believe she feels that we intentionally sold her a defective product designed to rip her offWe have treated her with the utmost respect and careThe refurbished laptop she purchased worked very well for almost a full year past its warranty period that is better than some new productsWe have sold well over of the identical unit that *** purchased and we have had zero issues with themSome of our customers continue to call to purchase moreAlthough this situation is unfortunate I truly believe that Nedtek has done everything humanly possible to help *** and shouldn't be held financially responsible for a product that has failed a year after the guarantee
I will agree to repair the screen for half price($*** +Tax)
If *** decides to go ahead with the repair, I would also like a letter saying that this issue has been resolved

If a sign says PUBLIC PARKING, no way on how it read should someone assume that public parking means "free".  Public parking means that it is available for the general public and payment is expected to be paid.  If the sign said "PRIVATE PARKING", then one can CONCLUDE that...

the particular lot is off limits to outside vehicles not authorized to park there.  State law requires all towing companies that enforce public lots, apartment communities, or other monitored parking facilities, to place a state regulated "Towing Sign" at every entrance of the parking facility with the proper layout, verbiage, and height restrictions only.  The tow sign at the entrance is the warning of entering the property so that the guests obeys proper parking procedure.  Not knowing the parking procedures, ASSUMING profits and again not knowing what the state requires does not constitute a racket.  Towing Fees are regulated by the state and by city ordinance which was conducted by a tow fee study.  Our company has been in business since 1958 and we hold high standard to upholding strict guidelines on proper towing practices and procedures.
