June 30, Dear [redacted] ***,As correctly stated by *** [redacted] , we installed a new roof on her home in October 2011.She called me approximately one year later, She told me she had water coming in a basement powder roomThere was no evidence of water from the main roofI told her this problem had nothing to do with us.I visited with her on Saturday May 3rdShe told me she was getting water in the opposite corner of the basement, Her main roof was not leakingShe insisted that my roofer come and physically check her roofI agreed.I asked [redacted] ***, owner of [redacted] , to check the roofThey installed the roof for usI asked him to go when she was presentHe called, left a message, and did not hear back.We received the complaint last weekOn,Monday June around 4:PM he met with [redacted] and her daughterHe checked the entire main roof and found no issuesHe took pictures which can be providedHe did find that a stack pipe was recently installed through the chimneyWhen asked, *** [redacted] admitted the work had been doneThe chimney needs cement workHe offered to fix the chimney and she told him not to.On the matter of the basement powder room, it is under the front doorway that has old slates aboveThey could be leakingAgain, nothing to do with our work.I’m disappointed that [redacted] did not mention to me about the stack that had been installed when I spoke about the chimneyWe have had a very amicable and easy relationshipWe put a door in for her in 2010.I hope the people responsible for her problems take care of this.I wish her nothing but the best
