Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet Reviews (2)

Dear Revdex.com,I spoke to [redacted] last month about this concern. Unfortunately my answers were not to his liking. [redacted] brought his vehicle in for inspection on March 15, 2014 for Pennsylvania State Inspection. We performed the inspection and the vehicle passed with no issues. The brakes...

on the vehicle measured over 7/32” all the way around. When my technicians perform a brake inspection, as per the State of Pennsylvania, we are required to visually inspect the brakes and record the measurements, as well as make sure they are operating as designed. (PA code 75 Pa. C.S. §4502) The state does not require us, nor would we need to remove the brake caliper to inspect the brakes. The brake pads are plainiy visible and easily measurable.Unfortunately three months after his state inspection, [redacted] has a problem with his brakes. This may not of been a fault of been the fault of [redacted]or [redacted], but it was definitely not “inferior or malicious work” of Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet. Sometimes cars have problems that can be attributed to no fault of anyone.
[redacted] has a ready contacted the Pennsylvania State Inspection Quality Assurance Department about this complaints with our dealership. They closed the complaint in our favor. Please let me know if you have any questions.Thank you,Dave Appleby

Review: We took our [redacted] to our dealership in Delaware because we were hearing strange noises from the front of the car. We were noticing that the breaks were not functioning as they should have. My Dealership had replaced the breaks fifteen months ago and that seemed perplexing to us. The [redacted] dealership in Delaware is the only place that has ever performed any kind of repair or maintenance services on any of our cars. The only place this SUV, which is driven only by my wife (and two children 9 and 13) back and forth to school, has been to was at Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet for the PA Annual inspections. No one else ever touched any of our cars.

So it was only natural to take the [redacted] back to [redacted] dealership. But when our dealer inspected the vehicle, he noticed "Caliber was rubbing on the side of the wheel. Caliber bolt was completely missing, one other bolt was partially holding the caliber somewhat in place". He stated that in his many many years of experience, he has never seen this kind of thing happen. "These bolts do not unscrew themselves", he went on "These bolts are designed to stay in their locations once they are tightened. They must have been missed"

It was clear that Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet, the last entity to touch her car, failed to remember to re-tighten the bolts after they inspected the breaks on my Wife's SUV in March 2014, the date of last inspection.

This afternoon I contacted Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet's service department and spoke with Dave A[redacted], the service director. When I told him that the [redacted] dealership inspected the work performed by Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet's and believes that their work was of inferior quality which resulted in a serious threat to the safety of my wife and children, he flatly denied that his company opened the breaks. When I asked him how is it possible that he inspect a car without inspecting the breaks, he did not answer. He just repeated that he did not undo the bolts. He did not have any more to say.

Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet's service department did not do a good service. They performed a seriously flawed inspection. They placed our lives in jeopardy. They must be held accountable and should be disciplined to ensure they do not do inferior work anymore and do not place the lives of other individuals in danger. This should be publicized and public must be made aware. Furthermore, they should be forced to pay me back the fees I had to pay the [redacted] Dealership in Delaware to recheck the breaks on my wife’s car, the added damage it had done to her vehicle and the inconvenience it has caused us.

Please note that I have kept a copy of the inspection summary report, invoice and the payment receipts for the inferior and malicious work performed by Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet's service department in March.

I also have reports from Porter [redacted] of Delaware including the recent service order documents, the results of the inspection of the breaks as well as written quotes in the documents by the service manager and the technicians at Porter [redacted] stating the reasons why they think it was poor quality work done by Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet that caused the break malfunctions for your review and references.Desired Settlement: Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet must be held accountable and should be disciplined to ensure they do not do inferior work anymore and do not place the lives of other individuals in danger. This should be publicized and public must be made aware. Furthermore, they should be forced to pay me back the fees I had to pay the [redacted] Dealership in Delaware to recheck the breaks on my wife’s car, the added damage it had done to her vehicle and the inconvenience it has caused us.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

I completely reject their

response. No one ever touched the brakes on that car other than the staff at Jeff D'Ambrosio

Chevrolet. Things just dont go wrong because they want to go wrong and at no one's fault, as they have procailmed in their response. Also, their statement that “[redacted] has already contacted

Pennsylvania State Inspection Quality Assurance Department about his compliants

with our dealership” is completely fasle.

To date, the only two entities

I have contacted related to my compalint is and has been Jeff D'Ambrosio

Chevrolet and the Revdex.com.

Furthermore, and consequently, their next

statement that a "ruling was made in their favor" is also completely and totally inaccurate

and incorrect and is meant to distract and distort the truth. There have never

been any filings made with Pennsylvania State Inspection Quality Assurance

Department by me nor by any one representing me. And there has never been any

rullings by any agency for or against any parties in this complaint.

I demand a full refund of our

payment and a written appology from Jeff D'Ambrosio Chevrolet.

Regards,
