8-3-2014 I am sorry that customer is unhappyI had her bring the vehicle back to me to verify that the oil leak the shop I use was done back in January correctlyIt wasIf it was something I paid for back in January,[ mos ago} I would have addressed this issue with the shop I
sub-let the work toIf the other seal is leaking now that's another issue. Now its moslater, and an oil leak is not a covered item in a used car warranty to begin with back in January ..I have attached the paperwork associated with this issue Maybe the customer should take this up with Toyota A year old vehicle is not going to perfect, especially with cork gaskets I am not gonna start throwing stones at my customer but we are never going to help anyway who is as verbally abusive and stretches the truthI have been in this business for years and I would never talk to anyone the some people do !!! Especially when they want something from me ....So to make a short story shorter, I am washing my hands of thisShe has 60mo or 60,miles ext warranty, not sure if they will cover an oil leak either ...Sorry for your inconvenience *** Kies

Jeff *** response indicates a studied refusal to deal with the principal issue Perhaps he would be willing to consider a comparison of the auction price of a car in two different cases: first with its emission control system in good working order, and second with an emission control system NOT IN GOOD WORKING ORDER for reasons unknown, other than it is known to have NOT been corrected by the replacement of the Osensor indicated to have been faulty He sold a car of the second sort, certifying wronfully that it was of the first sort

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I would first like to address the comment made by *** Kies regarding me being verbally abusive and stretching the truthI do not agree with that comment in anywayI did leave Kies auto sales a stern voicemail stating my frustration and that I was requesting a return phone call and a solution to this issueAlthough I was stern I was not abusive in any formAs far as "stretching the truth" I have been 100% honest and accurate with my side of this complaintI have not in anyway stretched the truthI do not feel as though *** or *** Kies has addressed this issueThe warranty is not what is in question hereI am attaching documentation that shows I have taken my vehicle to separate mechanics and all of them documented the fact that there was a silicone or sealer at the repair siteYou will see there comments on all the forms I'm attachingAll mechanics have told me that there is no good reason why there should be silicone in this area other than trying to cover up a leakConsidering the fact that *** auto was the last shop to make any repairs to my vehicle, this seems to be the origin of the silicone placementI have taken my car back to *** since the initial date of this complaintWhile I was at the shop I spoke with the owner *** and at this point we had a conversation regarding the first initial repairHe did not admit that they placed silicone on my vehicle but he did admit that he had a conversation with *** Kies during the initial repair date and told *** that it was a combination of the inner and outer seal that was leakingHe also told *** that he didn't want to do the inner seal repair because he didn't have the proper tools and it would have been a nightmare for him to do the repair*** told me that he informed Kies that the vehicle still needed to be taken to another shop that could do the repair properlyHe went ahead and repaired the outer seal with the approval of KiesThe issue with the inner seal was never addressed with me at the initial repair by either *** auto or *** Kies even though they were aware of the problem and need for additional repairsI asked *** if he was willing to give me a statement containing that information if I needed to pursue this further and he said yes he would and would have no problem doing soI am also obtaining a written statement from *** at *** Auto as well as a written statement from *** at *** *** stating what they witnessed at the repair site and that there is absolutely no good reason why silicone should have been in that area per their professional opinion. I have since taken my vehicle to *** transmission to have the repair properly done due to the fact that I was driving an unsafe vehicle that could have caught on fire due to the leak and was not comfortable transporting my children in it the way it wasI did not have the financial resources to do this myself and had to borrow the money from my mother to have the repair doneI gave *** Kies weeks to respond to my voicemail due to him being out of the office due to him getting married and was on his honeymoon per *** at *** AutoI still to this date have not received a return phone call from *** or ***.In response to how many years old the vehicle isI am fully aware that when you purchases a used vehicle there may be more of a need to do repairs that is also not in questionWhat the real issue is here is that I purchased a $15,used car from *** Kies Auto Sales and that from the date of purchase there was a pre-existing problem with the vehicle that has been attempted to be covered upI am not a mechanic and there is no way that I would have known that the repair was not done properly until it was brought to my attention by separate mechanicsNeither of these mechanics have spoken with each other regarding this issue but all of them have come to the same conclusion. I have attached documents showing the outer seal repair as well as the comments from the other mechanics regarding the sealant or siliconeI am prepared to take this to the next level if necessaryAll I am asking for is reimbursement for the repair that I had to pay for myself that should have been taken care of at the initial repair dateRegards, *** ***

You have advised me that you cannot deal with issues of consequential damages.  Though I find this limitation a bit strange, please consider my complaint and request for remediation as amended to remove any request for further payment to me.  I want this merchant to overtly express his...

commitment to never sell any car that has any potential emission control system defects hidden because an unready monitor in a pre-sale  DMV inspection.  This practice by a used car dealer seems to me to be a fraud that should not be acceptable to the Revdex.com.

Good Day,This complaint was already investigated by the NYS DMV. The check engine did come on his car and he did take it numerous places to get repaired including here. It was found that their was a broken wire in the wiring harness, it was repaired and I paid the bill per the Investigator from the DMV. I gave the investigator the check and that was passed on to the consumer.Attached is a copy of the check he cashed .. Any questions just give me a buzz.. I thought this was well over, sorry for your inconvenience.Jeff [redacted]Jeff Kies Pres.[redacted]

Discussed the paperwork with them again, all good, just a little confusion. Helped with his repair as well. Should be good, far as I know.Jeff
