I am rejecting this response because: I reached out to the insurance company who stated they do not handle these types of issues as they are considered service issues There are several areas in the house that have paint splatters including switches, floor, toilet, and patch holes that have not been fixed in the hallway and bedroom

on September 27, on work performed at** *** ***, Schwenksville, PA *** On July 4, I gave a painting estimate to the home owner at address listed above and came to agreement on a price. On July 17th I was hospitalized for health reasons and had to push the job out further. The home owner was aware of this and agreed. The house was previously painted by the home owner and his ex as he stated and I showed him many things that were wrong such as curtain rod brackets that were painted, as well as paint splatter in certain areas of the house. Drop clothes were used to protect floors and plastic to protect furniture. I even scrubbed some area of the floors where I noticed splatter from the previous painter. The peeling paint that occurred was on top of fireplace mantle and on ledge above sink. Paint takes hours to dry, which means nothing should be placed on flat surfaces, and 14-days to cure, which means do not wipe or scrub. I had advised the home owner of thisI have pictures that stuff was placed on these spots which is out of my control. Patching of holes: All holes were patched according to specifications, spackled times, sanded, primed, and coats of finish paintHome owner saw them and said nothing. Cat being locked in a room: I'm not a pet sitter and when painting a hallway where doors swing open into the hallway, they must be closed to cut in the wallsIf a cat was in the bedroom, I was not aware. Saturday work was scheduledWhen I arrived, the home owner had an emergency and that is why he had companyHe did not ask me leave. He also checked my work in staircase/hallway area and was pleased. I received a message about blue paint in tub and asked if it would come out. I immediately returned to the home to show him it was not paint only for him to reply it was his roommate's hair dye. The vanity in bathroom which had a surface scratch, I immediately reported to my insurance companyI'm not even sure if it came from me. My insurance company sent the home owner a check for $and he still demanded more. Please call insurance company and they will explain. In addition to the insurance payment, I also deducted $off the bill for missing work due to health issues (which is unheard of) and deducted another $off bill for cat being locked in room, which is not my responsibility. At this point I believe the home owner has been compensated. On September 18th, I received text messages from the home owner between 6:am with the last one at 6:pm, which all are saved. I also have before and after pictures of everything I had to move including his personal belongings. I believe the money paid by my insurance company and the $I knocked off bill this should be more then enough. Thank you,Jeff Lambert
