Review: Called Jeff Service on 3/28 spoke with [redacted] who quoted $55 per hour/2 people for moving 3 bdrm house approx $300-400(1400 sq ft). Scheduled move for 5/5, [redacted] from Jeff Movers came on 5/5 to review items to move, he bought small truck and 3 people, advised that it would take over 8 hours to move everything and quoted us $780 (after friendly discount). We questioned why the price is now twice the quote we were given. He would not listen and kept pushing for us to get started - we told him move only 2 bdrm sets, lv room sofa, hutch, 2 tv's and fridge and we would move everything else. He insisted that everything be moved and 3 guys were needed with 4 trips and all items wrapped/packaged properly. (The new location was 5 miles away). He then said he needed a check for them to begin, I specifically asked if we gave a check will the price be adjusted based on time movers finished since this was way more than were quoted- [redacted] said yes. We gave him a check, because no time to find another mover and [redacted] assured us the price would be pro-rated (though it was a little strange when he had us write the check to another person not Jeff Movers or himself). Movers started around 9am, around an hour later checked my bank account and check was already cashed, the movers were done in 2 trips in less than 4 1/2 hours including drive time, nothing was wrapped or packaged, the fridge had scrapes, dining chair fell of truck and now shakes, mattresses were dirty because they weren't covered even though we paid for it etc, the last 15 mins 2 of them was just sitting on our new beige sofa in their dirty/sweaty clothes. We ended up moving the glass from the hutch and 2 flat screen tv's we paid to get wrapped and moved ourselves. We called [redacted] at 230 on 5/5 and left voicemail, called back on Monday 4/7 and asked about refunding our overpayment and [redacted] hung up the phone. We have since then reached out to the management of Jeff Movers several times, [redacted] advised he will deliver message but no one has returned our callsDesired Settlement: We have no problem paying the rate that was originally quoted to us $55 x 4 1/2 hours, we can even round it out to 5 which is approx. $275 add the 3rd person who we did not ask for or was needed it brings it up to $470. Even though we should be getting a refund for $505, we will settle for $400. We are very disappointed with Jeff Movers level of customer service and unethical business practices. We have not even received final receipt from [redacted]

Review: They advertised moving services at $55.00 an hour in the [redacted], and [redacted] confirmed this price on the phone to me. I agreed to $55.00 per hour to be moved from Anaheim to Simi Valley at that price. I was told their time would start the minute they knocked on the door, and I could pay with a credit card, debit card or check. I wrote down the time they knocked on the door, it was 11:20AM my neighbor was with me. A male, [redacted], came in and asked for information address etc. about the move. Than asked for a check, I said I thought I would be paying by the hour, he replied we're going to give you a flat rate of $897.02. I was all packed and had to moved so I gave him the check. The movers started loading about 11:30AM and finished at 1:15PM. The move & drive, and unloading took 4.5 hours. 4.5 x 55.00=357.10, the amount I should have paid. Also I was promised 5 free boxes which I never received, even though I asked for them on 3 separate occasions. I moved on 4/29/2015 and called [redacted] on 5/1/2015 to voice my complaints, he said he just answered the phones, and I should call the owner, [redacted], also known as [redacted], I called the number [redacted] gave me [redacted], got no answer, left my name and phone number and asked [redacted] to call me, he never did. I was told the driving would be doubled which I understand, but I made the drive in 1hr and 10 mins, and they showed up about 15 mins after I did, they had already told me they would be stopping for about 10 minuntes. I allotted for 3 hrs driving time, which was longer than it took either of us to make the drive. I figured their working hours as, 2 hours loading, 3 hours driving, and 1.5 hours unloading.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded the difference in the price I was charged, $897.02 and the price I should have paid at 55.00 per hour of $357.10. I want a refund of at least $497.02, I'll concede the difference of $40.00 if it will help settle this dispute.

Review: This is about a "bait and switch" moving company. If you check out the complaints on yelp.com under Jeff Moving Storage and Jeff's Moving Service in Anaheim, you'll see some sad incidents. This is my incident from Friday, February 21, 2014: I was quoted an hourly rate of $55.00 per hour, 3 hour minimum, plus double drive time. Okay, let's see that's $165.00 for the 3 hours, plus a 5 minute drive down the street to my storage unit (which would be an additional 10 minute charge). BULL ROAR. On top of being two and a half hours late, this slimey guy [redacted] (owner from what I hear) had the nerve to pompously walk through my place and said he had to charge me $469 because of all the stuff I had. This was stuff from a tiny studio apartment and I had everything packed already. He's a crook. I told him to get the "bleep" out of my place and that I was going to find someone else. He then went back to the original quote. I was furious. However, the movers themselves, [redacted] and [redacted], were awesome though...very personable and very thorough. BUT, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! There have been many incidents where unsuspecting, innocent and vulerable people have been stuck paying way more than what they were quoted by this moving company. I feel sorry for them all and I hope that this post will help anyone from going through the same stress and headache.Desired Settlement: No settlement requested, I just want this to go on record to help other people.

Review: This is a BAIT AND SWITCH company. We found them through the penny saver and their add said $55 an hr, since 1988 and very dependable(lies). My wife called them and the man on the phone says yes we will come bring a big truck for your home, do not pack your closest my guys have wardrobe boxes and will do everything and get your job done and also we give you a guarantee that you have 4 days from the day you move that we come back and put your house the exact way you want it. Sounded great till moving day when the owner arrived took a look at our house and says you have too much stuff(2 bedroom condo)im going to have to charge you extra $1200 and will get the job done and give you 3 guys(there were already 3 guys in the truck the owner planned this from the start)and we will get the whole job done and give you as we promised 4 days extra to call us back.We were in a dyer situation needed to move so we signed up( they were sup to arrive at 9am came at noon and brought a small truck when we were promised a larger one which resulted in 3 trips and not all the stuff out of our old house). This was the worse experience ever in our lives. They didn't finish we called them the next day no answer we called the owner no answer we called and called for 4 days straight and no answer.We did a charge back with our bank fought it for 2 months and won because we have the proof that they lied the reviews etc. All of a sudden the owner shows up at our door last night after 4 months and harasses us for money and demands we give him a credit card to pay. If he wanted to work it out, it shouldn't have taken 4 months to do so, if the customer is un happy he should've taken care of it.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THIS COMPANY WILL DAMAGE YOUR GOODS AND RUN OFF WITH YOUR MONEY.Desired Settlement: OWNER SHOWED UP HARRASSSING US DEMANDING MONEY SAYING THE CREDIT CARD WASNT WORKING ACTING LIKE HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND ALL HE WANTS IS HIS MONEY. OWNER SHOULD APOLOGIZE FOR COMING ON THE PROPETY THAT HE IS NEVER NOR ANYONE OF HIS ASSOCIATES ETC ALLOWED TO BE ON OTHERWISE THE COPS WILL BE INVOLVED ( THEY ALREADY KNOW THE SITUATION).OWNER NEEDS TO CALL/EMAIL APOLOGY AND WE CAN WORK ON A SETTLEMENT WHICH THEY DO NOT DESERVE IN OUR EYES.

Jeff Moving is responding to the customer, ·Mr. [redacted]. Jeff Moving did provide

moving services for Mr. [redacted] whole house on Nov. 2, 2013. Jeff Moving moved him

from Anaheim Hills, CA to Corona, CA with a fixed rate. a moving crew of three men, all

packing, wrapping, breaking down, setting up up of all household furniture, large truck, and five

free boxes. Jeff moving did a full day of moving with free delivery of boxes and wardrobe boxes.

Jeff moving did transaction with $900.00 for him. He reviewed all the contract papers and

documents for the move. He signed the credit card slip and was present during the entire move.

Please see enclosed contracts and credit card sales slip. Mr. [redacted] used bad credit card for the

charge. Jeff moving contacted with Mr. [redacted] regarding payment toward the move and they did

not get any response. Jeff moving sued Mr. [redacted] regarding his bad credit card in Orange

County Court House with the case# [redacted]. Then, Mr. [redacted] showed

up on the court day and hfl paid for his moving cost. Therefore, the case closed on 03/ 19/ 2014.

Review: I was moved by this company on Feb. 19th, it took them 2.20 hours...I had to pay for 4 hours at $55.00 hr. I was told I would get my money back but I never did. This company are crooks, the man [redacted] the owner, in business for 22 yrs. He was suppose to give me an senior discount of 10% and never did. Also charged me for a 3rd man which was not needed, two could have done the job. HE was very pushy, rude, in a big hurry, went right to my back and cashed the check within 20 minutes. I have made 20 calls to his office, and the manager [redacted], tells me that [redacted] ( [redacted]) has not been well mentally, not my problem. I can't get my money back, which is over $100.00 and I am on a fixed income so I don't make very much money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE MOVERS..CROOKS, CROOKS,Desired Settlement: I am owed $ 115.00 for the over pay I gave him which they didn't use.Please post to your members so other people don't get ripped off!

Review: I was quoted $52.00 an hour (my senior discount)for moving services and $29 an hour if I wanted a third person. I didn't think I needed a third person. On my moving day, "[redacted]" showed up and told me I needed a third person and it would be $39.00 an hour. He told me the cost would be $784. I said that was not what I was quoted and protested that I could not afford that and would not have used them if I had known and that I would be calling the office to complain. The men had already started moving my things, so what was I to do. He did not give me a copy of the 'agreement.' When I gave him my credit card, he said he wanted cash. I told him that I told the office I was paying with a credit card. He took my card reluctantly. I did get a copy of the receipt. I went into the other room to answer a question and when I came back to the front room, [redacted] was gone.Let me say that the three guys were great. Fast and efficient, they were done in under four hours. I offered to buy them drinks and pizza, but they wouldn't take anything. I gave them each $50. I wish I could have given them more, but could not afford it.So, I figure that $82/hr (my original quote)x 4 hours is $248.00. I would even pay for 5 hrs, which comes to $410.00. I called the office when the guys were done to complain about the cost and was told that "[redacted]" is the owner. I feel like "[redacted]" pulled a "bait and switch" on me. It cost me almost $1,000.00 to move about 6 miles.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $374.00.

Review: I was scheduled to move and Jeff's Movers was to arrive between 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Friday November 7. The company called me on Thursday November 6 at 3:45 PM to confirm.

They did not show up. I called numerous times, and could not get a call back. I reached someone at 3:30 on November 7 and Jeff's Movers told me they were running late and would not be coming. They never showed up and never offered any solution.Desired Settlement: I had to pay significantly more to get a short term mover to transport my belongings. I believe Jeff's Movers should either credit me a few move or compensate me for the additional costs of the mover I paid versus their estimate.
