RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please respond As expected, Jeff Wyler mgmt is not addressing the facts or the issue. That fact is, they did earn our business because we had a clear and concise oral agreement/contract to buy an Altima on their lot for $14.000. Our original sales person AND the general mgr both confirmed the price by phone with me. I authorized a $500.00 down payment or hold guarantee on our credit card to hold the car. We went in to do the paperwork a couple days later and were told by the used car mgr that he had to confirm the price with the General mgr (who was off and supposedly unavailable by phone??). Upon confirmation of the price the next day by phone (around 4:00) with the sales rep we agreed to have him bring paperwork to my husbands work for a signature. He wanted my SSN but I was in a crowd and couldn't say it out loud without risk. I then authorized another $1000.00 to assure we were going to purchase the car. At 6:00pm that same night the sales rep called my husband and stated he would not be able to make it to his work for the necessary signature. The sales rep told my husband he could come in to the dealership the following day to finalize the deal. The following day my husband went to the dealership with a check and was informed the car sold. It is obvious they sold the car out from under us and completely disregarded the oral contract. These facts can be verified by phone records and visits to the dealership. The offer of alternate vehicles is a joke because the one car My husband was offered the day we learned they failed to hold up their oral contract had 78,000 miles. The car we agreed to buy had 27,000 miles. Really??? Insulting and unethical and unacceptable. Not to mention illegal considering there was an oral contract (confirmed by the general mgr on the phone with my husband in a recorded conversation). What did they ultimately sell the car for??? The unethical sales rep wouldn't talk to my husband in person (he had others tell him he was off) when he went to the dealership. But he did take a call an hour later when my husband called the dealership not knowing who was calling (imagine that!!) More lying and unethical behavior. The sales rep even refused to tell my husband his last name on the phone. Obviously he knew it was unethical and likely knew it is illegal to break an oral contract n KY. These are the undisputed facts!!! They don't even dispute these facts in their response. They simply say they offered comparable alternatives!!! Really??? Shame on them! Regards, [redacted]
