Hello ***, My name is Ryan with Jeff's Tree and Landscape and below is our response to complaint# *** When I initially met with *** to discuss the tree project, I strongly recommended that one at risk ash be removed and the other trimmed*** said he didn't want to remove
it because it helps absorb water, so we agreed to trim both trees and install cabling in the at risk tree for $950. After fully trimming the trees and raking everything up, ***'s wife came out to look at the trees and we told her even after the trimming and cabling, there is still risk the tree could split or a couple large branches could split and fall because the tree was in that bad of shapeShe asked how much to remove the tree and I told her $2,000, because it was a large high risk tree and was full of bolts and spikes from prior attempts to hold the tree together. After the job was completed and I went to collect $2,950, she asked why is it $2,and said they weren't prepared to spend so much with the trees and the window work done at their place at the same timeI then offered to drop it $because she may have had some confusion about the costs and I understand that it is tough paying for a tree to get trimmed that just later gets cut down. She then wrote a check for $2, Later that night *** sent a picture of the window well with a small piece of old wood from the window well laying on it and he called shortly thereafter. He also said they weren't prepared to spend as much and I said I didn't think that was from us, because we hauled all the brush and wood around the other side of the house A few days later, we were informed by the bank that the check had a stop payment or was cancelledI immediately contacted *** and he said he had to move some money around and was sending another check for $2,that same day The next week, we received a Revdex.com complaint about this, so I tried calling him multiple times and got no responseLater that evening after Jeff and I started calling a bunch, he finally responded to me and said he wasn't financially prepared to spend as much and he had to move money aroundI told him that we would accept $2,even though we originally were to be paid $2,950, just to keep customers happy and resolve the issueI informed him that we were not pleased at how he handled the situation, so he said if we accept $2,he would give a perfect rating with the Revdex.comSo on May, 9, we agreed and he said he would send a check for $2,and contact you immediately.
