it was, in fact, stain and that this was not an item of builder responsibility. I can also provide a copy of the report.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. This complaint is regarding a contractual matter, not a warranty issue. I specified stain, not flaking paint, for my garage door. See the attached complaint.
The warranty inspector states "an opaque product" was used on my garage door. He also states, "if the finish is not as specified it is a contractual issue". See the attached inspection report.
This problem was first reported over a year ago upon application of the finish. The finish applied to the garage immediately began to crack and peel. At that time the builder stated, "This looks like hell... Sorry [redacted]. We will fix it." See his attached email.
The door still looks like hell. I've been waiting for over a year for the builder to make good on his promise.
Regards,
