Mrs. [redacted] signed a proposal with my company to have a few walls removed. Which would included drywall work and electrical work. Also part of the job was installing 4 windows and a entry door. we first ordered the windows from my supplier which takes a couple of weeks to come in. We then started...

the project, we started removing the walls and realized that one wall was load barring which was uncharacteristic due to it being a ranch. Once we saw this we then had to put a header in, which we did at no extra cost. Just something we had to do. After we got the framing done we got into the electric which was an absolute mess. Something I thought was just a few hours to relocate a few outlets took a few days due to the way it was wired from the start, We did this and didn't add any extra cost to job. Then came time to install windows, I had a discussion with Mrs. [redacted] and realized I had order the windows without grids my mistake. I then ordered the new windows which takes a couple of weeks to come in. I then explained that I could install the wrong windows and just switch out the sashes once the new ones came in, she did not want me to do that. We then proceeded to finish the drywall, trim and paint. All along she loved the job. She praised us on our clean up efforts, thought the job was going great. In the process of doing the drywall we had to remove  the thermostat and reinstall it, one of my employees mixed up the wiring and it wouldn't shut off I proceeded to fix it that night. I don't know much about them but help with the internet and my time I had it working before I left on a Friday evening. I made sure it was turning on with changing the temp up and down was working just fine. Monday we came to work and they Mrs. [redacted] and her husband explained to me that he changed the thermostat Saturday that a friend gave them because old one wasn't working which was the one I installed that they gave to install. And it was on that Monday he called a heating company to fix the thermostat that he installed Saturday. He then mentioned that he will take the blame due to him changing it over weekend. They now are telling me that it was my fault and I ruined the a/c in the process and we never touched the ac. Once we were ready to paint we primed and painted the rooms that we worked in. Some were existing walls that we were just repainting. She was unhappy with the existing walls and that we painted over a nail in the wall, which was no big deal quick fix. Within the project I had two guys quit on me which delayed to the project some, so in turn it took longer then it should have. While we were painting we Mr. [redacted] would paint after we would leave for the day and I give him credit for trying but it wasn't up to my standards. The Wednesday after Easter we went and installed the entry door which we learned it wasn't a standard install. I was not prepared for that and didn't not have my table saw to add extension jams to complete the interior trim. I then had a conversation with Mr. [redacted] asking and explaining to him we had one more full day there complete everything a little bit of trim install windows and touch up the paint. I asked if it was OK to complete once windows came in and he was ok with that. about one week later I had a conversation with Mrs. [redacted] on the completion of job, I explained we were still waiting for the windows. She was a little upset so I gave here the option of us coming to finish everything but the windows or wait till they came in, She said if I don't hear back from her that night will just wait till windows come in, I was like ok this is your option. I did not hear back from her so I was in the understanding she was OK waiting till windows came in. The windows were due in the following Thursday. She texted me that Thursday at 8:52 "Jeff, I don't want to wait any longer to have job finished, if you want to settle the bill to date, I'll have someone else finish let me know your intentions, windows, door, screen, thanks [redacted] hill rd" Which these windows are order for her house non return. I replied that I didn't hear from supplier and ill let you in the morning. Unfortunately My supplier informed me that windows were not in yet due to a software change with the window company,  something out of my control. I then had conversation on the phone explaining this and we had a agreement that I would get 2500 which the balance was over 3000 to walk away. She left check taped to the door and nobody was home, I took check. About 10 minutes after I left house she called me asking for a storm door which was a extra for agreed work for 350, I explained if I got paid in full I would leave storm door. We then had more conversation and ended it with her telling me that ill let you know in the morning if I want you to complete job( which would be Saturday Am). She texted me in the morning at 8:54 "please contact me one day in advance to complete job on hill rd thank you, [redacted]", I replied " Ok I will let you know thank you". The windows were guaranteed to be in that Thursday the 21 of April. I texted her on Wednesday 4/20 at 9:02 that the check she wrote me bounced which messed my bank account up. She replied back " my text to you on Friday was no door no check, you did not want the deal , you wanted full amt at completion, ive filled complaint w Revdex.com, they will mediate the situation from here on,you're not a man of your word, I do not want further communication w you". I then replied " You texted me on Saturday to let you know the day before I come to finish. Now that's not what you want. Windows come in tomorrow at some point. Whats going on". No reply from her.  The balance is around 3100 plus storm door of 350. She wrote me a bad check and they're fees with that. These windows are special order for the house. I've tried, one day she wants us to finish next she doesn't. not sure how to proceed with it. I ready to file a small claims for the money owed. Please help. Thank you for you time.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I still have not heard from the business. I have gotten texts in the past and called the business once and have always heard will be there soon or in the neighborhood next week will stop in, and no show every time. In response to the business response I told them to hold off fixing the giant crack in the ceiling where his roofer stepped through because that is where I wanted the sliding door to go in. See my original complaint. The outside work is mostly done. I need it finished and the detail work better finished off.
Regards,
[redacted]

Phone - Jeff stated he was paid some money, however, I have $1200 worth of windows that I cannot install because she won't let me, now I have to try and sell custom windows. I did drywall work, doors, and some electrical. What I was paid is less than what those items are worth, let alone labor costs. Then, she wouldn't allow me back to do any other items or finish started jobs.
