explain that "solid brass plated valve" will appear silver in color and never brass color like customer expected. We have never displayed an image of a brass colored valve on our website. Because valve is plated and silver color, does not mean the valve is not solid brass. The image on our webpage does in fact show a silver colored valve with the description: "Lever Air Valve, plated Solid Brass, thread x airline barb". Customer received a plated solid brass valves. There are similar valves on the market that are steel body with plating but we have never sold this type of valve and have always only offered plated solid brass aquarium air valves. We also tried to explain the reason for plating on brass is to eliminate or minimize oxidation in moist environments. Brass will oxidize and discolor over time if not plated. We offered to waive our normal restocking fee since she was dissatisfied but shipping charges are still the Customer's responsibility since what was received is exactly what was ordered. We also offer toll free telephone assistance to avoid any confusion about products. Our website does not offer online ordering. Customer chose to fax the order and communicate via email. We have never had any misunderstanding or confusion regarding this particular product with other customers. If we had made a mistake on this order we would have provided a pre-paid return service label and refunded original purchase price including shipping both ways. To date (October 20, 2017) we have not received product return from Customer.
