Review: This business has a door sign post thats says 1 dozen bagels 4.99 after 3pm. when I and another customer went to buy them the female clerk refused to sell what supply she had and wanted us to return the next day and pay 6.99. Her reason was she may noy have had enough bagels till closing time. The idea is to sell off all bagels prior to closing so that none go in the trash.We reminded the clerk of the sign posted and that it did show false advertising but she still refused to honor sale. I will file a complain with the nys attorney generals office as well.Desired Settlement: to supply one dozen bagels at the advertised price and 12 more for false advertising penelty

A situation earlier in the afternoon; a large purchase of specific types of bagels left us depleted of some of the more popular bagels,so in an effort not to upset any remaining customers we decided to offer anyone coming in whom we did not have what they wanted a voucher for a dozen bagels at $6.99 on their next visit (bagels are normally $10.00 per dozen) This should of ended with the 3:00 hour and the shift to $4.99 per dozen for whatever was left, unfortunately the communication from shift to shift and to a less experienced employee was not totally clear and the miscommunication resulted in the unfortunate experience noted by [redacted], for that we do apologize. The emplyees working have been spoken to and they, as well as the other employees have been retrained in how to handle such a situation. We assure you it is our intention to make every customer that visits our business leave happy and with a good experience. To that we have attempted to reach out to [redacted] to apologize and rectify his poor experience. I have left 2 messages with the number supplied. I will be forwarding two (2) Gift Certificates, each for 1 dozen bagels at no charge anytime the customer wishes to use them and will be following that with an email and look forward to hearing from [redacted] so I may personally apologize and hopefully secure his confidence in our business going forward.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here] The business reply was false as there was more than enough bagels in the store for my request and another customer who walked out with me. It seems like the staff was keeping the bagels for themself and did not want to sell what was left. I answered the business via email and advised him my intention was not to get something for free to solve a problem of fraud and false advertising. He was also advised that The NYS Attorney Generals Office would be contacting him as well. The proper response would have been the sign was removed that offered bagels for $4.99 after 3pm if he had no intentions of living up to this and or terminate the employ of the two people responsible for this. This [redacted]s employees not doubt has done this in the past and has gotten away with any complaints. Its a shame because the quality of bagels from this store is very good as I had purchased them before and my wife is a steady customer their and I went there from her reccomendation. The [redacted] needs to hire adults who have customer service experience and not there to insult his customers who I am sure he needs as there are many bagel shop in this area of town who can supply the customers what they advertise.
