Review: Explanation Of My Consumer Complaint Against Jemco Fuel Company

I formerly lived at [redacted].

I have since sold this home on January **, 2015 and moved away

A new heating system was installed by [redacted] on [redacted] in November of 2013.

The installation was faulty, and the system failed to provide heat on New Year’s Eve of 2013.

[redacted] came and was unable to fix it. I began to call other repair companies.

The other companies made temporary repairs.

After several additional failures, I called Jemco Fuel Company.

Jemco replaced my [redacted] thermostat on February **, 2014.

It was so cold that day and the repairmen were so busy that I personally picked up the replacement [redacted] at the supplier, [redacted] in [redacted] (see attachment labeled [redacted]).

I don’t know how much [redacted] charged Jemco but Jemco charged me $500 for the new Aquasmart, and $336 in labor and taxes, for a total of $836 (see attachment JemcoCreditCardBill).

Replacing the [redacted] still did not solve the problem. Repairmen from Jemco came back two more times (see attachment JemcoTag ).

The additional charges were more than $205 (see attachment JemcoCreditCardBill2).

I contacted the company that makes [redacted] and they honored their warranty, and arranged for me to get a new [redacted] from the factory. It arrived several months later and I picked it up myself (see attachment [redacted]).

I arranged to return it to Jemco, and drove to [redacted]’s home office. But he was only willing to pay me $99 cash. I felt I was owed $500, plus labor, since the replacement alone did not fix the heating system.

I have a new [redacted] from the factory which is of no use to me. But Jemco won’t refund my money in return for this new part, which they can use to repair someone else’s burner.
