Did you ever do something dumb, and all of a sudden, water is coming out of a valve? I called Mr. J[redacted] on a referral. As soon as I told him, our water was shut off, he said he'd be right there. Now in this day and age, "right there" can have many meanings. Mr. J[redacted] was at my house within 20 mins. He was 100% professional. Knew just what he needed to do and went to work. I was truly impressed with his skill, professionalism and knowledge. I can't say enough about our experience working with him. He's our plumber of choice. If you're looking for a plumber, I highly recommend Jenkins Plumbing.

Quoted a verbal price for parts and labor for plumbing repairs then invoiced for much higher amount. Mr. Jenkins was contacted by my realtor for some minor plumbing repairs through [redacted] Plumbing, as he is doing business as this company. He quoted a price of $250.00 to repair a leak under the kitchen sink and to take care of a gap between the end of the tub spout and the wall in an upstairs bathroom. With my realtor present with him the entire time, he replaced the plumbing under the sink as well as the tub spout. He then gave my realtor an invoice for $388.41 and requested immediate payment. When questioned by my realtor about the significant difference in price, Mr. Jenkins claimed he had to do more work than expected and had to buy additional materials. At no time did Mr. Jenkins advise my realtor that there would be additional charges beyond what he had quoted. My realtor contacted me immediately and advised me of the new, much higher quote. I begrudgingly allowed her to make payment to him with my credit card but asked her to send me any and all invoices and receipts. My realtor emailed me digital copies of the invoice, payment receipt as well as a photocopy of the receipt the plumber gave her for materials from [redacted]. Mr. Jenkins charged me for $300.00 in labor and $88.41 for materials, the pre-tax amount of the [redacted] receipt. On the receipt, Mr. Jenkins purchased a [redacted] as well as an auto tube cutter for the previous item. Each were $14.98 each. I maintain that the leak under the sink could have been repaired using the existing piping under the sink, as the house is less that 10 years old. I then located the webpage for [redacted] plumbing to get their local contact information. The invoice provided has a [redacted] address as well as a web link for www.[redacted]com. The web link was no longer valid when I clicked on it. On the [redacted] webpage, I entered my complaint on their "request service" box on the page. Shortly afterwards, Mr. Jenkins contacted me on my cell phone and got very loud with me, denying he had overcharged me or had billed me for tools. I attempted to make my point to Mr. Jenkins and tell him why I think he has overcharged me and also offer up the receipt as proof that he had indeed billed me for tools. Mr Jenkins refused to let me speak, continuously talking over me, claimed that he was going to give me a refund and hung up on me as I attempted to speak. My realtor called me shortly thereafter and advised me that Mr. Jenkins had called her, telling her in his opinion why I was wrong and attempted to get her to ask me to pay the charges and drop the matter. I asked her to not contact him and to ask him to call me directly in reference to the matter, as she was acting as my agent. She texted Mr. Jenkins and asked him to call or contact myself and no longer involve her in the matter. She texted me shortly thereafter, stating she had texted him to that effect but that Mr. Jenkins had called her several times, but she did not answer. At 4:20 p.m., I began a texting conversation with Mr. Jenkins, advising him to call me to discuss the matter but to not contact my realtor anymore. During the text message conversation that followed with Mr. Jenkins, he accused me of wanting free services. I advised I did not want anything free, only to pay the agreed-upon price and not pay for inflated charges and for the tools he needed to do his job as a plumber. He continued to claim that there were other items he should have charged me for and that the inspection report was wrong. The inspection report simply mentioned a leak under the sink. He further claimed his quote did not include materials (it did)and that he should have charged me $500.00. Mr, Jenkins has offered no further resolution to this issue at this writing, only attempting to defend his questionable business practices. I have retained all invoices and receipts as well as the above-mentioned text message conversation.Desired SettlementSeeking for the charges to be adjusted to the originally agreed upon price of $250.00 and a refund of the excess charges of $138.41 credited back to my credit card.Business Response My name is [redacted] I am [redacted] speaking on his behalf. Mr. Jenkins has not ever done work for [redacted] Plumbing. Nor does Mr. Jenkins complete work for profit. He is currently a license holder for his own work and for immediate family. Mr. [redacted] needs to speak with whomever he gave his credit card information to and take it up with them. Mr. Jenkins has not had any contact from the listed people above. He doesn't text nor does he have texting. Please take this matter up with your realtor, [redacted] Plumbing, or credit card company. [redacted] Plumbing
