Jensen Towing Reviews (4)

Avoid this company at all costs, you will regret it, the service they provide borders on the criminal, they will find a way to fleece you, take your vehicle, and send you a bill, if you ever have a run in with this woman you will soon see why everyone is saying the same thing, if there is a good review about this company anywhere be warned it is not typical, they steal from your vehicle, or steal the vehicle by charging insane storage, and heaven forbid an insurance company gets involved, just plain and simple crooks.

Office staff is very unprofessional and rude not helpful at all. I had never been in an accident before that required towing so the experience was 10 times worse by dealing with this towing company. Things were also stolen out of the car. Prescription medication and clothes minor but non the less missing. There are plenty of other towing services in Kenosha do not use Jensens.

Review: On Feb 22, 2014 I called AT&T for roadside assistance. They had Jensen Towing come to get the car. When the driver arrived and the car was loaded and ready to be towed my father offered to follow the car to the auto shop. The driver stated that Jensen towing has already notified the auto shop, knows where to park the car and they (Jensen towing) would take the keys with and drop them off in the drop box. On Monday Feb 24 the auto shop (Hessefort) contacted my father personally to ask where the keys were for the car. It was stated the tow truck driver had the keys. My father contacted Jensen towing and was given the complete run-around. Stating the driver had check his pants pockets and did not have them. However, the driver was and had been in Milwaukee, WI for the two hours prior to this phone call..so he would not have been able to check his pants pockets. My father contacted Jensen Towing and spoke with the female owner, who is extremely rude and very unprofessional and stated that the driver told her he never had the keys and because she takes the word of her employee over the customer. And the employee was fairly new she stated. With the key was a remote for the car. I can only have them replaced with a car dealer. With an employee discount, this would be $150.00 to replace both. Jensen towing has refused to pay this or take any responsibility. I do not feel I should have to pay this expense. The driver had the keys when he left the driveway with the car. He, along with Jensen Towing is fully responsible for this car after that. The business has never made even an apology, but they should still have to replace the property they lost.Desired Settlement: Jensen towing should be responsible enough the pay the cost of the replacement of the key and the remote. Along with an apology.

There are many facts that are incorrect here. We never did hear from the customer after our driver had talked to him on the phone on Monday the 24th of February. The customer was advised the driver would check his pockets, but not of work pants that are assumed to be at home while the driver was in Milwaukee all day, the pockets of his bibs/coveralls were checked because when the coveralls are worn, there is no access to pants pockets without stripping down. Jensen towing dispatch/"rude" owner did send a driver to unlock his car at the auto repair shop for no charge and searched the car for the keys. The second driver had noticed the seatbelt which was used to strap the steering wheel to keep tires from moving side to side was still strapped and no keys found.

Customer was the last person in the car as he backed out the car of the driveway while the Jensen driver kept the tire straight to make access to load the car up. That is when he strapped the steering wheel for safety and customer was present. Customer had advised the driver he was going to bring the keys to the shop and driver said he did not have to but when he arrived at the repair shop there were no keys present. It was a busy week so he did check his tow truck and pockets of his bibs for self assurance that he did not have them. We did not find any keys.

Response:

Correct, many facts are incorrect, those made by Jensen towing. Several attempts were made to get Jensen towing, both owner and employee, to admit they lost the key and remote. The female owner was very nasty and stated she had to side with her employee. When my father spoke with the driver, via phone, he did inform my dad he checked his work pants, however he was in Milwaukee at that time. Why would the company send someone to unlock a car, when they have stated the keys were never in the car?? Not sure where the second driver came from, more incorrect information. The keys were in the car when it was ready to be towed, as the car was in neutral. And would have had to be put in park at the repair shop. Hence, keys would have been in the car as it left the driveway. And was in the hands of Jensen towing. Now we wanted to bring the keys, however, the driver stated this is a service the provide. So when he got to the repair shop, and found no keys, why didn't he call us, or not lock the car? It seems the employer is covering an employee mistake. The driver did tell my father he did fear he would loose his job. The tow company is responsible for the cost to replace what was lost while in their possession. Anything less is just poor business practice. They did state it was a busy week for them and it is their practice to take the keys. Again, I'm asking for just the key and remote to be replaced. The loss of both of them is very inconvenient.

Review: I have used Jensen towing 3 times this year to move a telahandler (fork lift) over the same distance to and from the same 2 places there per hour price is acceptable however the first time it was moved the price was $200.00 the second time the price was $260.00 now today it was moved to the same place the price was $392.00 this seemed ridiculous when I asked for a explanation the driver called the office and after about 5 minutes of conversation he came back and said it was because they charged me from where he had answered the call from as he had been out on another call. I made it plain to him that this was not right because they had also charged the previous tow the charge back to their yard as is the custom to charge from their yard back to their yard by the hour. They clearly double billed for the time. along with that I called for the tow at 9:42 AM and was told he was still out on a call, and it would be an hour before he was done he was done with our delivery by 11:30 I both loaded and unloaded the forklift. It is less than an hours drive so the call should have been about 2 hours as it was in the past not the 4 hours they charged today. They clearly could not have spent on my call. In short I feel that they fraudulently over charged me despite my objection.

We will be glad to look into this for you if you would like to email the receipts to us at: [redacted] for us to look at. We often give discounts if our driver is in the area at the time something has to be picked up. I am not sure if this was the case for you. It is possible that you received a discount for the 1st time and didn't know it.

Thank you for your business
