Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The camper shell had damage that was in addition to the door shroud The paint on the driver's side bottom edge was also chipped at the factory The replacement door shroud has improper fit and poor finish Water has continuously leaked between the window and the shroud since it was replaced I provided photographs to the local dealer which I believe they forwarded to the manufacturer Since the time the complaint was filed, I have had to tape up the windows due to rattling noise in the front window and parts have fallen off of the side windows The front window noise was also reported to the local dealer

The Pa CPA told me that legal action is my only resort at this point. So I am now contacting attorneys. I spent almost $1700 on a brand new cap and it leaks horribly (in one storm the back 34" of my truck cap got soaked). Review: I purchased a Jeraco truck cap from [redacted] in [redacted], VA on May 17, 2013. Since my purchase, I have experienced continuous leaking of the cap every time it rains or I wash my truck. I have returned to [redacted] on several occasions requesting repair of the cap in order to prevent future leaks. None of the attempted repairs have corrected the problem including a return to the factory on January 24, 2014 at which time the side windows were modified. In fact, upon return from the factory, the cap had a new chip in the door shroud and holes in the base rails from the shipping boards as well as damage to the bottom edge of the driver’s side. On February 21, 2014, [redacted] switched out the front windows and rear window. Again these repairs did not correct the leakage problem and now the cap has additional damage inflicted at the factory.

Therefore, since I paid full price for a new cap for my new 2013 [redacted] truck and no attempted repairs have stopped it from leaking every time it rains, I sent a letter to Jeraco Enterprises, Inc. on April 18, 2014 requesting replacement of the cap under the Lifetime Limited Warranty and to date I have received no response to my letter. Since I received no response to my letter, I called Jeraco on or about June 6, 2014 and was told that they would not replace the cap or refund my money. I also requested a replacement or a refund through [redacted] but was advised by them that the manufacturer would not reimburse the local dealer if they replaced it or refunded my money and so they were unable to fulfill my request.Desired Settlement: If not a refund, then a new replacement cap that does not leak would be accepted.

Review: We purchased the Jeraco Truck on 3/22/13 and it arrived at the dealer (Superior Interior in [redacted], NH), which was installed on 4/26/13. The cap leaked fromt he rain the dealer tested the cap on 6/7 and contacted Jeraco. They said it was defected gaskets and ordered new gaskets for the windows. We waited 2 weeks for the dealer to receive the new gaskets in. On 6/24 the new gaskets were installed. On 6/26 it rained again and the truck cap leaked even more. I went to Superior Interior and they contacted Jeraco. Jeraco said you need to find the leaks to us to fix it. I have to bring the ytruck in for extensive testing again on 7/2. I contacted Jeraco today, 6/28 and spoke to [redacted]. He refused to do anything, but have it tested and fixed. We want our money ack considering this waiting and testing game. It is a big inconvenience to us to leave the truck for testing and fixing. Jeraco refused to give us our money ack or install a new truck cap, which Dave the sales manager said he would consider doing it the leak continued after the new gaskets were installed. [redacted] said they would only fix the cap if they can find the leaks and they will not give us our money back at all.Desired Settlement: We would like our money back considering all the inconvenience of testing and fixing periods. When Superior Interiors have tested and/or fixed the truck cap it was an all day process. It is just not right. Thank you for your time and assistance with this matter.
