Jeremiah's Journey

The owner of the store did not post the stores return policy and she refused to return my money back.On Saturday May 23rd, 2015 I purchased a dress at Jeremiah's Journey store located in Hernando MS. The clerk did not mention to me there was a dressing room to try on the dress. I took the dress home and tried it on a week later. It didn't fit. I made several attempts to return the dress but everytime I went the store was closed. I work in Memphis TN and by the time I would get to Hernando, the store was closed. Finally, I left work early to return the dress on Friday June 12th 2015. [redacted], the owner of Jeremiah's Journey mentioned she would only give me store credit and not my money back due to her store's return policy. She mentioned that I had 5 days of the purchase date to return the dress. However, no where in the store is her return policy posted,(which [redacted] agreed) and the clerk failed to mention to me their policy. The day I purchased the dress, was my first time shopping there. I feel as a consumer that if a store wants a customer to comply with the store's return policy, then they should have it clearly posted! I believe this is in violation of a consumer's rights.Desired SettlementI do not want the store credit. I would like to have my cash back. I do not wish to support this type of business.
