Revdex.com: I do not agree at all with what they said in their reply First of all, when I called the second time, the mower would not start at all A battery had to be replaced and they said they checked it the first time they had it How could a battery go dead after mowing my yard twice I took the battery to [redacted] and they told me the battery was dead They never checked it The new place I took it to said they should have known that on the very first visit The second time I called there was no oil in the lawnmower after only two mowings I'm lucky I didn't burn the engine up Obviously when they serviced it, they didn't put enough oil in it When they picked it up the second time, they had used my mower to cut their grass When they returned it, it was vibrating and making a loud noise The second company I took it to said they should have been able to see that the belts and pulleys were in bad shape and one of the bets was almost worn through Putting a bumper on and a valve cover has nothing to do whatsoever with the noise it was making when I got it back The second company said all of those things should have been seen, especially since they had taken the deck off the first time In addition, I was told I was overcharged and should not have paid it They can say all they want about their work and standing behind their work They had two chances to make this right The second time they picked it up they acted like they didn't believe anything I had to say about the mower not starting They brought it back and told me there was nothing wrong with it In other words, they blew me off The mere fact that the owner hung up on me the first time I called speaks to that very issue Hanging up on a customer and telling them they can't listen to what I have to say is rude, inconsiderate and downright disrespectful Whatever happened to the saying, 'the customer is always right.' That does not seem to apply in this case I was tired of hearing excuses and being told that everything was just fine for them with how it started I have been using the lawnmower for years I know how it's supposed to sound and I know how it starts It's a funny thing I got the mower back from the second company and it runs like it's brand new Absolutely no problems with itSo if they want to continue to blow me off, that's fine, but to say that they didn't have the chance to make it right is a lie They had two chances It was time for a second opinion and I'm allowed to take it anywhere I want I did that and now because I did they are stating that they wanted the opportunity to fix it I'm sorry, but the trust was gone after being given two chances The bottom line is this company does not stand behind their work If they had, they would have been able to spot a problem with that mower The person that delivered it the second time backed it into my garage, put the parking brake on and said, 'oh, that doesn't sound good.' And off he went Didn't report it, didn't call in and say the mower sounds bad Nothing Just left knowing full well there was something wrong with the mower, and now I'm the bad guy because I wanted to take it somewhere else Anyone would have been able to hear that In fact, I called back and I told them it was making a funny noise after they returned it and they treated me once again like I was making something up I spoke to them on May at 1:p.m., May at 1:p.m., May at 1:52, p.m., May at 1:p.m., Maybe at 2:p.m., May at 6:p.m., May at 12:p.m., May 20th at 3:p.m., May at 3:p.m., May at 11:a.m., June at 12:p.m., and June at 3:p.m After all of those discussions and phone calls, I got no where You would think somewhere there would be resolution, but not in the case I was flat out told they would do nothing for me No refund, no making it right What I heard was you didn't let us fix it Why would I after all of this I had had enough Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I do not accept this offer to settle this complaint because Jericho is claiming they did not have the opportunity to fix my problem The lawnmower was brought in the second time because it would not start Just because it started for them does not mean it started for me The second company I took it to said it would have never started because of the pulleys that were worn through and practically broken Once those pulleys were repaired and the bearing replaced it starts every time now without an issue and I have used it three times since I got it back and it is in perfect running condition This was something that should have been caught on the very first time they had the lawnmower, and definitely the second time They did not take the time needed to diagnose the problem They just took it back to the shop and said it works for them and brought it back [redacted] , [redacted]

We completed a tune up service , pick up and delivery , a new mower deck belt , and *** *** bumper installed ,as well as reseal valve cover. On 5-the customer called and stated that the mower was leaking oil would not start and was mowing crookedWe pick up the unit and we found it to mow
level , no oil leak anywhere and the unit started at every timeWe did informed the customer of our findings and mentioned to her that the fluid she was seeing was left over water from the final wash of her mowerThe customer called back the next week and stated her mower would not start againWe told her we would come once again to get it and see whyBefore we could get the unit she called back and said some other company was picking it upThis company replaced drive parts which have no bearing on the no start issue she mentioned to usIt is our opinion that the parts they replaced were in working order and would last the mowing seasonThe repair by the other company is a new issue , and we believe we should have had a chance to address it ourselvesAlso we do not understand how the work we preformed should be refundedIs the bumper not working? is the mower deck belt faulty? Why did the other company not address the no start issue ? There was no mention of that issueWe do understand how frustrating this may be to the customerHowever we have stood behind everything we have done for her and would repair anything needed

It seems to us the information keeps changingWe do not know what more we could have done to fix any issue with her mowerIt worked perfectly for usAlso she never mentioned any drive issue ONLY that it would not startHow could we fix something that works as it should? We would entertain refunding the price for the tune up service ($ ) for the permanent removal of the *** review and no further action on her behalf. We feel the bumper , pick up and delivery , belt replacement , valve cover reseal is something that should be paid forWe will refund in like manner that is was paid forIE: Credit card return or check.Jerry R***

I do not agree at all with what they said in their reply.  First of all, when I called the second time, the mower would not start at all.  A battery had to be replaced and they said they checked it the first time they had it.  How could a battery go dead after mowing my yard twice.  I took the battery to [redacted] and they told me the battery was dead.  They never checked it.  The new place I took it to said they should have known that on the very first visit.  The second time I called there was no oil in the lawnmower after only two mowings.  I'm lucky I didn't burn the engine up.  Obviously when they serviced it, they didn't put enough oil in it.  When they picked it up the second time, they had used my mower to cut their grass.  When they returned it, it was vibrating and making a loud noise.  The second company I took it to said they should have been able to see that the belts and pulleys were in bad shape and one of the bets was almost worn through.  Putting a bumper on and a valve cover has nothing to do whatsoever with the noise it was making when I got it back.  The second company said all of those things should have been seen, especially since they had taken the deck off the first time.  In addition, I was told I was overcharged and should not have paid it.  They can say all they want about their work and standing behind their work.  They had two chances to make this right.  The second time they picked it up they acted like they didn't believe anything I had to say about the mower not starting.  They brought it back and told me there was nothing wrong with it.  In other words, they blew me off.  The mere fact that the owner hung up on me the first time I called speaks to that very issue.  Hanging up on a customer and telling them they can't listen to what I have to say is rude, inconsiderate and downright disrespectful.  Whatever happened to the saying, 'the customer is always right.'  That does not seem to apply in this case.  I was tired of hearing excuses and being told that everything was just fine for them with how it started.  I have been using the lawnmower for 17 years.  I know how it's supposed to sound and I know how it starts.  It's a funny thing.  I got the mower back from the second company and it runs like it's brand new.  Absolutely no problems with it. So if they want to continue to blow me off, that's fine, but to say that they didn't have the chance to make it right is a lie.  They had two chances.  It was time for a second opinion and I'm allowed to take it anywhere I want.  I did that and now because I did they are stating that they wanted the opportunity to fix it.  I'm sorry, but the trust was gone after being given two chances.  The bottom line is this company does not stand behind their work.  If they had, they would have been able to spot a problem with that mower.  The person that delivered it the second time backed it into my garage, put the parking brake on and said, 'oh, that doesn't sound good.'  And off he went.  Didn't report it, didn't call in and say the mower sounds bad.  Nothing.  Just left knowing full well there was something wrong with the mower, and now I'm the bad guy because I wanted to take it somewhere else.  Anyone would have been able to hear that.  In fact, I called back and I told them it was making a funny noise after they returned it and they treated me once again like I was making something up.  I spoke to them on May 19 at 1:24 p.m., May 19 at 1:47 p.m., May 19 at 1:52, p.m., May 19 at 1:53 p.m., Maybe 19 at 2:15 p.m., May 19 at 6:12 p.m., May 20 at 12:21 p.m., May 20th at 3:25 p.m., May 26 at 3:12 p.m., May 27 at 11:47 a.m.,  June 7 at 12:04 p.m., and June 7 at 3:29 p.m.  After all of those discussions and phone calls, I got no where.  You would think somewhere there would be resolution, but not in the case.  I was flat out told they would do nothing for me.  No refund, no making it right.  What I heard was you didn't let us fix it.  Why would I after all of this.  I had had enough.

Revdex.com:
I do not accept this offer to settle this complaint because Jericho is claiming they did not have the opportunity to fix my problem.  The lawnmower was brought in the second time because it would not start.  Just because it started for them does not mean it started for me.  The second company I took it to said it would have never started because of the pulleys that were worn through and practically broken.  Once those pulleys were repaired and the bearing replaced it starts every time now without an issue and I have used it three times since I got it back and it is in perfect running condition.  This was something that should have been caught on the very first time they had the lawnmower, and definitely the second time.  They did not take the time needed to diagnose the problem.  They just took it back to the shop and said it works for them and brought it back.  [redacted]

I already have the invoice that was sent.  I don't understand why it's being sent to me again.  I have attached an invoice that I received from [redacted] for the additional work that they had to do.  The first time I sent my mower into Jericho for repair, my lawnmower wasn't making the loud noise and it started.  The second time it was sent it for not starting and for making the loud noise.  I was told they also used my mower to cut grass the second time they had it and that's when it came back with the loud noise.  The work [redacted] did on my mower should have been seen by them the first time they had it.  I have no idea what they did to it the second time they had it.  All I know is when it came back from them it was making the loud noise.  So just in case anybody is confused by all of this, the first time they took it in it was for service and the replace a bumper.  After they got it, they said it needed all of the additional work that they did.  They brought it back and it wouldn't start.  The second time they picked up for the not starting, they brought it back to me and said it started for them and they used it to cut the grass.  When the driver brought it back, it backed it into my garage and when he set the brake, the loud noise was there because he said to me, 'oh, that doesn't sound good', and then he left.  After that, I decided to get a second opinion and the invoice from [redacted] reflects what they found.  They told me it was never going to start with all the things that needed to be fixed.
