Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/01/06) */
We completed GM Recall 14350, which amounts to key inserts on the plastic, non-funtioning part of the keyWe don't do anything to the physical key, nor touch anything on the physical car itselfI am not really sure what more assistance I can
recommendNot having diagnosed the ignition problem, it would be speculation that it requires a new ignitionHowever, if two mechanics have diagnosed that as the problem, that could be correctMy advice is to let them know that we completed GM Recall 14350, and they should know what that entails, and know that it did not involve anything to do with the actual ignition, nor a key replacement, simply inserts into the key ring slot of the old keyThere is not a GM Recall issued that involves an ignition replacement, otherwise we would gladly complete that repairAll recalls on the Hutchins vehicle show "Closed" in GM's vehicle history logAs the GM representative suggested, bad timing may hold true here
