Review: I was told and shown by [redacted] that he was a certified auto mechanic, licensed to do business in the city of Redding. I contracted him to repair my 2004 Nissan Maxima. He told me it needed a new transmission. He said he was short on cash and had me pay for the transmission up front. He then proceeded to hide my car from me for a month with excuse after excuse why it wasn`t done. He then called me on several occasions to tell me that the work had been completed and then I wouldn`t hear from for at least a week. He did this on three occasions. He tried to put me off again but I told him I was reporting the car stolen. He then gave me a bogus address on where my car was. I searched the area and finally found my car hidden behind a trailer in a vacant lot. My car was not fixed it still had the same problems and 4,000 miles had been driven on my car while in his care. He said he also lost the key to my car. He will not talk to me but texted me that he would return the money but to his day he has not shown up. I took my car to another mechanic. Not only did Jerry not replace my transmission, a cable was also severed to my transmission, and he had not completed other repairs that I had paid him to do. I had paid him to replace two cam sensors this was not done as this and the severed cable was what was wrong with my car. Also the rear motor mount [redacted] was to have replaced was not done either. [redacted] assured me that they had not been replaced. [redacted] was to have replaced a heater hose but he put the wrong one in and it is wearing greatly against the hood of my 1994 Chevy Silverado. He was suppose to change my transmission fluid in my Maxima. I had a case of transmission oil in my shed; he took the transmission oil and did not change the transmission oil in my car. He said he replaced my radiator in the truck but this also was not done. I researched and found he was not licensed in any of the surrounding cities. He showed me a fake business and mechanic`s license.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of all monies I paid to Jerry Loranger in the amount of $3,214.84 and for him to cease scamming other individuals.
