This company is not legitimate. Mr. Lucas was supposed to come out and rebuild my front porch and he assured me it would be done quickly. Six weeks and multiple phone calls and excuses later, he still has not fixed it. I paid him $300 for materials and he did not return my money. He never called to let me know he could not come. Hired to build a 10x14 storage building.On 5/3/2016 hired Jerry Lucas to build 10x14 storage building he was to start on 5/5/16.He did not show up by early afternoon I called Jerry and he stated he was on his way by evening he was still a no show. I have tried to contact him many times several times his brother answered his phone and said he would have him call me but he did not. He sent text on 6/7/16 stating he wanted my address so he could send my deposit of 1200.00 to me as of today 8/01/16 he has not refunded my deposit for the storage building and he will not answer my phone calls.I would like this to be noted so that he does not take advantage of another consumer.Desired SettlementI would like my 1200.00 back for work that was never done.

Failure to Do Agreed Upon WorkAn extensive contract was originally signed on 6/14/2015 to do a re-model of our laundry room. Mr. Lucas stated that it would take a week, at the longest, to complete the agreed upon work. A $1000 deposit was also give to Mr. Lucas. Mr. Lucas made appointments on 8 different occasions over the next 3 weeks where he would later cancel that day or just not show up at all. On July 17, Mr. Lucas showed up to our house at 6pm. He proceeded to install one new window, rip out my stairs and a sink. That took about an hour. He said he was going to come back the next day, July 18th to complete the job. He did not show up. When he did not return on July 19th, I called and left another voicemail. His wife, [redacted], returned my phone call. We had about a 25 minute conversation and she guaranteed that he would be at my house on Monday, July 20th to complete the job. He did not show up. When prompted by a phone call from me, he left me a voicemail saying that he would be back today, July 22nd to complete the job. As of now, he has not shown up. It has been over a month and he has done barely any of the agreed upon work, and now I have been without a laundry room for almost a week. He does not return phone calls or text messages and is completely irresponsible. I feel that my husband and I have been more than understanding and reasonable on different excuses that he's given as to why he hasn't been able to come and it's now gone too far. Desired SettlementAt this point, I just want my deposit back (minus the cost of the one window that he installed). It is ridiculous that it has taken this length of time to come to a resolution. The amount of disrespect shown to me as a client and the amount of irresponsibility shown by him as a contractor is just unacceptable.
