Complaint: *** I am rejecting this response because:Nearly every word in Kurt J*** (Jerry’s Transmission) reply is NOT the truth and NOT how things happenedI do want to state that they have now (in the last two weeks) put two more different transmissions in my truckThis only
happened due to my filing multiple complaints against them and having to show up at their shop video recording every interaction and phone call since filing this complaintAll these videos of interactions and phone calls are being copied onto a CD and mailed to the Revdex.com to keep for their review and recordsI will also make a copy for Jerry’s Transmission should they want a copy or try to dispute anything they were recorded doing/sayingJerry’s Transmission was fully aware and notified all interactions were being recordedOnly then did any forward movement to fix my truck happenOnly then did Kurt try repeated repairs to the transmission they had given *** *** to install in my truck 3/30/Kurt could not get this transmission to work properly despite repeated attempts in the last two weeks and finally resorted to replacing itHe had to try a second and then a third transmissionThe second transmission he tried did not fit right due to not having the correct outer casing attachments and the third one finally works better than the rest but it still causes a brief "squeak" when shifting at high speedThey did offer a new month warranty on this last transmission but only after Kurt tried to get me to completely remove (not amend) all the filed complaints against himI refused to do so telling him that every word in the complaints were trueI asked him if a single word was not true and he would only respond with “it stings” but would never say they weren’t trueHe said the negative reviews would hurt his business and I reminded him the only thing that was hurting him was the truthI told him the only way I would remove all the complaints (which are 100% TRUE in EVERYTHING that happened) is if he reimbursed me back the cost of the transmission for the months of hell they had put me through trying to get it fixed AND pay for the additional repairs the faulty transmission caused to my engine (both of which he refused to do)He conveniently gives reference in his response about having to bring the truck to another shop to have additional repairs done to it but left out the detail that he was responsible for causing themThe additional repairs cost me over $that I had to pay out of my own pocket to get my truck backI have three different mechanics (and a vast amount of information on the internet) standing behind me that the faulty transmission jerking on the serpentine belt caused the other parts to break and malfunctionKurt also gives a faulty timeline how and when my complaint with them started and how things happenedHere is what really occurred:I took my truck to *** *** to replace both my engine and transmission at the same time since I wanted to keep my truck and not have to buy another vehicle since this truck had everything I wanted and neededThere was nothing wrong with either the engine or transmission; I was just being proactive in replacing them to keep from being stranded since they had over 260,miles on them*** *** installed a new engine and replaced the transmission with a rebuilt one from Jerry's Transmissions that had a year warranty on it. Upon picking up my completed truck on 4-1-2016, the transmission wasn't working correctly and I notified Jerry's of this immediately (that day) after picking up my vehicleThis was April 2016- not as Jerry's tries to say in his responseJerry’s got me in a couple weeks later to look at the issue and made an adjustment to it but it just caused other issues instead of fixing itI notified them it wasn’t fixed right and even showed them video's proving what it was doingThis has been going on for months (since the day I picked up my completed truck) - me trying to get them to fix my truck transmission properlyI picked up my truck on 4/1/They had my truck DIFFERENT TIMES, being in possession of my truck for over 1/months in total over months and it wasn't fixed until I filed all the complaints (including this one) against them and video recorded every interaction and phone callIn this last shop visit, they had my truck for one long stretch of OVER MONTHS- from August to October 16, 2017. During this three + month time, they had given my truck back to me twice claiming it was fixed only for me to return it to them the next day because it wasn't. It was doing obvious things! But, they had the NERVE to continue giving it back to me saying it was fixed when it wasn'tIt obviously was never working correctly the entire time since the transmission was installedThe proof is that when Kurt finally decided to try and fix it after all the complaints and my videoing everything, he never could get that transmission to work correctly so he had to change it out (months later)Until he finally did that, the entire months before was me repeatedly hounding them and they finally had me bring the truck back inAt the last drop off of the truck on August 8th, 2017, I had Kurt the owner AGAIN ride in the truck with me to witness it revving high and not switching overHE SAW IT DOING ITI even showed him the videos I had made MONTHS BEFORE (and still have) of it doing itThen, and get this- HE HAD THE NERVE TO TRY AND CONVINCE ME THAT'S JUST HOW THIS TRANSMISSION WORKSI sat there staring at him in disbelief and then bluntly told him IT WAS IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM "NORMAL" FOR ANY TRANSMISSION TO DO THAT AND THEY WERE GOING TO FIX IT. It was a safety hazard! It almost got me into a wreck when I tried to get around a guy who pulled out in front of meI jumped on the gas to get in front of another car to avoid hitting him and the engine just revved up and did nothingWhen it finally changed into higher gear and kicked in, it nearly launched me up onto the curb of a business parking lot.Jerry's took the truck back to "adjust" the transmission to try and stop the high revvingThey certainly fixed it! They called me to pick it up saying it was ready and working fineHowever, when I picked it up it was right back to doing the original issues of hard jerking to the point the belts squeak. So, I brought the truck back to them AGAIN to FIX THE HARD JERKING AND BELT SQUEAKS and they just sat on it doing nothingThey LITERALLY had it for over a month sitting in their parking lot untouchedI would drive by and see it sitting in the same exact spot unmovedWhen I called to complain again that they weren't doing anything to fix it, Brett said I could come get my truck and have it over the weekend but to bring it back the next week (which I did) so Kurt could to take it up to the Ford Dealership to have the truck computer downloaded (as he references in his response)Apparently Kurt thought that would fix itThe Ford Dealership hooked it up to the computer, did the download but it didn’t fix the issue according to BrettHe said Kurt was going to keep looking at itInstead, Kurt again just sat on the truck doing nothing to it while I repeatedly called, complained and just continued to boil in frustration. At each of these times they have had my truck, they have given me three different loaner vehicles on repeated occasions that have put my safety and property at risk. I guess they figure if the person isn't out of money renting a car, they don't have to care about how long they keep a vehicleThe problem is their vehicles are safety hazards, mechanically dysfunctional and ARE NOT MY TRUCKI couldn’t haul anything, I couldn’t pull a trailer, I couldn’t go anywhere that requires wheel drive, etcTwice during the times they had my truck, I was given a red car with a broken gas gauge that left me stranded empty of gas in the middle of a stop lightOnce I have been given a white minivan (that I had for over weeks) that had a short in the back door hatch causing it to drain the battery dead. I never had an occasion to open the back door hatch until I was under a mandatory wildfire evacuation and had to load things into the minivan (since I didn’t have my truck back and couldn’t use my trailer either since the minivan didn’t have a tow hitch)Because I used the back hatch, it malfunctioned and drained the battery leaving me stranded and unable to leave because of the battery was deadIt had to be jumped off different times and wouldn't keep a chargeAfter I returned the minivan to get a different vehicle Brett admitted THEY KNEW it did this and had even replaced the battery in before giving it to me because it had drained it deadThen, they gave me the black Ford Escape. I've had the Escape three different timesThey claimed it was their "best vehicle"It rattles so badly in the front end that when I have clients in the vehicle with me they have repeatedly expressed concerns that it was going to break downEven more ridiculous, it has an alarm system short that makes it go off for no reason at all hours of the night and dayThere's no key fob to turn it offYou have to go out and open the door with the key or let it run itself out with the blaring horn and lights flashingThey even had a name for it; they laugh and call it, "The Rooster"I told them over and over the alarm was waking me and the neighbors up in the middle of the night, going off at my workplace scaring the clients and just randomly going off at stores, etcI begged them to please fix the alarm or at least disconnect the hornThey didn’tI noticed each time they gave me "The Rooster" they had to walk a block away from the shop to get itAll their other vehicles were kept in their parking lotThey kept The Rooster parked a block away next to a storage facility and across from several housesThey didn’t even want to have to listen to it so they kept it parked where others had to put up with itThis last time they gave it to me, I asked if they had fixed the alarm and they said they couldn't figure out how to make it stopMy only vehicle choices were The Rooster or the dead battery minivan that had left me stranded during the wildfire evacuationWhen I got home I popped the hood of The Rooster looking for the wire that ran to the hornBut, I couldn't find either the horn or the wireI sat out there for over an hour and a half waiting for the thing to go off so I could find itOf course, it never went off while I was out thereInstead, it waited until amIt turned off before I could get the door open and the hood upSo, I spent minutes burning up all the data on my phone searching for the manual to the vehicle so I could figure out where the fuse box was and start pulling fusesminutes later at 3:am in the morning, I finally killed the roosterTheir shop full of mechanics couldn’t figure out how to pull a fuse? AstoundingAfter MONTHS of having my vehicle and not fixing it, their office person Brett called me on Friday right before pm (after I had kept calling and calling and calling trying to get them do either fix or replace the transmission)Brett tells me ONCE AGAIN that the owner Kurt just couldn't seem to find anything wrong with it and would just have to KEEP DRIVING IT AROUNDAfter I became extremely angry telling him that Kurt driving it around YET AGAIN wasn't going to fix the truck- Brett offered to call me and meet me at the shop on Saturday morning (the next day when the office was closed over the weekend)He said he wanted to ride in my truck with me to be able to directly tell Kurt exactly what was wrong that needed to be fixed (since Kurt the owner had just been DRIVING MY VEHICLE AROUND on his own putting miles on it and burning my gas but never fixing it)Brett asked for my phone number (even though he had called me) telling me he'd keep my number in his wallet (??) and would call me when he got up at around 8:am Saturday morning to let me know he was on his way up to the shopI agreed to meet him up there and would wait for his call to let me know he was thereI was just livid after the callHOW can Kurt drive the truck (according to Brett- 40-miles) and NOT know exactly what it is doing?! The issues were obvious! When it shifts gears it jerks hard and to the point it makes the engine belts squeak! HOW HARD IS THAT TO OBSERVE AND HEAR?!?!? This is what the truck was doing immediately after I got it from the engine and transmission replacementThen, after I first complained about it right after picking the truck up from *** ***, Jerry's took the truck in one of the times and "adjusted things" to where it didn't do that anymore- it instead lost all its power when it switched gears, it just revved up high RPMs with no forward movement and then would kick in lurching it forwardThey called me telling me the truck was fixed of the hard shifting and belt squeaksThey didn't lie! It didn't do that anymore, now when switching gears it revved into high RPMs with no forward power, then it would finally kick in lurching forward! DID THEY EVEN DRIVE IT BEFORE THEY GAVE IT BACK TO ME TO QUALITY TEST IT?!?! I'm guessing noThis back and forth trying to get them to fix it right kept going on and on for months and monthsThey would make excuses that they were too busy to get the truck in, didn’t have any loaner cars available, couldn’t lend a loaner car since the tags hadn’t been replaced on them to drive legally, were waiting on Kurt to get the tags, etcThey just kept blowing me offThey even kept telling me to keep driving it and maybe it would “self-resolve”.So, Saturday morning comes and Brett never called me so I could meet him at the shop to do a test drive with him so he could see exactly what was wrong. He said he was going to call at around 8:am after he woke up and let his dogs out to let me know he was on the way up thereI waited until amNo callSo, I drove to the shopAll the lights were off so it didn't look like anyone was thereI was lividI had brought my camera to video what the truck was doing to PROVE to Kurt what it was doing so I didn't have to chance him not listening to BrettBut, Brett wasn't even thereI decided to video it anyway and I saw someone walk past one of the windows in the back door of the shopRealizing someone was in there I went and banged on the door and a young kid answeredI asked if Brett was thereThe kid said Brett HAD BEEN THERE until 9:30- BUT DID'T CALL MEMind you, it was HIS idea to go in on Saturday when they were closed because he had to do payroll paperwork anyway and had offered to do the rideBut, NOPEHe never did.So, I got the key to my truck from the kid and drove around making different (current) videos of the issues that were and have been SO OBVIOUSEven worse was the fact that the truck was now making a weird grinding noise it wasn't making beforeI tried to get that on the video too, you can barely hear it but it's there! I took the truck back to the shop and told the kid to tell Brett and Kurt that I AM DONEThe truck better be fixed Monday or I'm contacting my attorney.I left the shop and went home spending the entire rest of my Saturday contacting KECI and KPAX television station consumer advocates, filed an online complaint with the Office of Consumer Protection of Montana (complaint number 4347-WC), filed an online complaint with the Missoula Revdex.com (Revdex.com) (complaint ID 12431209) and have searched for every possible review site on them and have left very truthful, negative reviewsI also called Jerry's Transmission's and left them voicemails of all the actions I had taken (I had a lot to say and the time kept running out- I didn't cuss or yell)I also sent two emails to Jerry's Transmission email with both complaints to the Revdex.com and Consumer Protection Office (complete with their auto responses that the complaints had been received along with the complaint numbers)In those emails I also included the information of my other on-line negative reviews and written out narrative of all the issues so they had them in writing. I told them I wasn't attempting to be secretive at all about any of the complaints and provided them everythingMonday 10/9/Jerry's Transmission called me after receiving my voicemails over the weekendBrett attempted to make an excuse as to why he didn't call me to meet him at the shop and when none of them made any sense; he finally said he was sorry for not doing what he said he would doHe said Kurt wanted me to come down and test drive the truck with him AGAINI became extremely angry again asking why he was not able to get in the truck and get the same exact jerking and belt squeaking I was able to document on different videos just this Saturday and had been the SAME problem the whole three monthsHe started to make excuses and I reminded him he was being recorded- to which he suddenly just stopped and said he just needed me to come to the shop to drive the truck because he couldn't find the problemI angrily told him that I would but I would be bringing someone with me and the entire thing would be recordedI told him I would call him when I reached the person I would be bringing to tell him when we were coming. Before leaving, I also contacted KECI and KPAX television stations againAfter being transferred to voicemails, I left another voicemail at each asking for help from their consumer advocatesI was on my way and I tried to call Jerry's Transmission to tell them we were on the wayThe call just rang a fast busy and wouldn't go through- it just dropped as a failed callI retried two more times- same fast busy signal and automatic call dropThen the 4th try an automated message came on saying, "Calls from this line are not accepted", then the call dropped ending itselfI couldn't believe what I was hearing! I called it two more times just to verify that I wasn't crazyTHEY BLOCKED MY NUMBER! I contacted law enforcement asking for a civil standbyDispatch advised that if I arrived and things went south to just call them and an Officer would respond to any disputeAfter I got off the phone with dispatch, miraculously Brett called me on my phoneI asked him why they had blocked my number he tried to say they hadn't blocked it but couldn't explain why my calls had not gone throughI told him I was very happy to show him my call recordI told him I had called law enforcement about a civil standby asking if that was necessaryHe said no, it wasn't necessary and advised him we would be arriving within minutes (reminding him everything would be recorded)Montana State law states you cannot record someone without their permissionThey were given the opportunity to decline being recorded but they gave consentKurt J*** (owner of Jerry’s Transmission), my friend who was recording and I got in my truck I immediately began "stating for the record" on the video all the points of contentionI advised him he was welcome to speak up and disagree with anything I was saying or provide his own information but he chose not toIn less than minutes after getting on the road and getting to a point I could safely accelerate, I proved exactly what I had been saying all along with what was wrong with the truckI had Kurt verify on the video that he FELT the hard jerk and HEARD the belts squeakingHe immediately said we could turn around and go back to the shopHe said he would "expeditiously" get it "on the rack" and turn the pressure down on the transmissionI told him no, that I wanted to continue to replicate the grinding noise that had appeared on SaturdayI asked him why in less than two minutes I was able to show him exactly what it was doing but he has had my truck + months and had driven it over and over yet couldn't seem to replicate what just happenedI had repeatedly told them it happened when you tried to accelerate and it shiftedKurt actually said that he hadn't "driven it as aggressively" as I hadI just looked at him dumbfoundedWhat? Aggressive? I asked him where he had been driving the truck- on clouds and rainbows? I asked him if punching the gas to merge onto the freeway and needing to pass someone, etcwas aggressive?? He didn't respondI continued to slow down and accelerate (each time the truck doing exactly what I said it would do) and also continued "getting on record" the issues about the stories I had been told about the wrong transmission being put in from the get go, taking months, the loaner vehicles, etcIn all the talk, I didn't hear the grinding noise that had happened on SaturdayIn this recorded information during the test drive, Kurt now provided a new story about the transmission being installed by *** ***I had been told from the first time I tried to get them to repair it that *** *** had allegedly ordered and installed the wrong transmissionIf the wrong one was put in my truck, wasn’t it really because Jerry's didn't pay enough attention to the make, model and year of my vehicle to send them the right one? I confronted Kurt with this logic and he then said that's not what happenedHe now said (again, recorded) that Honesty called them when the install was in process but things were not fitting correctly so Jerry's realized it was the wrong transmissionAccording to Kurt, he had them send back that ordered transmission since it was the wrong one and had *** also send MY ORIGINAL FACTORY transmission out of my truck to them to have it rebuiltSo he was NOW saying the transmission that wasn't working after being installed by *** *** was MY OWN transmission that had been rebuilt by themI told him that didn't make any senseIf it was MY OWN transmission (that wasn't even malfunctioning when I had it taken out- it was merely for preventative measures only), then why didn't it work properly?! He had no explanation whyAs we were driving back to the shop (with my friend still recording), I at one point asked Kurt if he had read the emails I had sent him since he seemed surprised to hear some of the things I touched uponHe admitted he had not and then said he was "too busy" to get on the internet and look at anythingHe didn't read the business emailHe actually admitted no one didWowI asked him what he intended to do to fix the transmissionHe said he would adjust the pressure back downI asked what happened if that didn't fix itHe quickly retorted that I would have to take legal action against himI clarified with him, "Ok, so what you're telling me is that if you can't fix this transmission to work properly, you're going to make me sue you to make it right? Wouldn't offering to replace the transmission be a step to consider?"He apparently realized he jumped steps and backtracked saying that if he could not fix the issue he would replace it.Kurt then tried to make a "woe is me" statement that no matter what he said I was going to find fault with it and say/continue to say bad things about his business on the review sites, Revdex.com and MT Consumer Protection AgencyI told him I disagree with his assumption of meI reminded him that I had been beyond patient for + months despite being continually dismissed, maltreated and disrespected and had only been pushed to this pointI also reminded him that I had agreed to him trying to fix the transmission or replace itI was giving him one last chance to make it rightI also advised him that not a single word I had said in any of the complaints or negative reviews was a lieThe ride ended with Kurt telling me he was going to get my truck immediately back on the rack, get it fixed and would call me later that day to come back and do another test drive to make sure it was fixedA couple hours later, I got a call from Brett at Jerry’sBrett that he knew he was being recorded and it was stated on the video so it was documentedHe called tell me that Kurt had replaced the pressure regulator, the serpentine belt (now he was messing with my engine??) and didn't think I would be satisfied with how it was running so he (Kurt) decided to "take the plate off" the transmissionAccording to Brett, he was having one of the parts removed to have it redone with their fabricator across the streetSince they would have to wait on the fabricator to do it, I wouldn't have my truck until tomorrowHe advised he would call me as soon as it was done so we could come drive itWhile he was on the phone I stared asking him questions about the information Kurt had told about the new version of the alleged transmission install issueI directly asked him if my original transmission had been rebuilt and put back in my truck and he said no, it was the transmission they had sentHowever, when I told him what Kurt said in the truck, he changed his story (again, this is recorded) saying it was my original transmission that had been rebuilt and put in my truckI asked him about records they kept- if it would show what transmission was actually usedBrett actually admitted they don't keep things documented very well and it was "the good ole' boy way of doing things"Tuesday 10/10/Still don't have my truckDidn't hear from anyone at Jerry's by am so I called them (recorded of course)Brett said he was deathly ill and was going to go home soon but he said my transmission was being put back together as we spoke and Kurt should be test driving it by noonHe said someone would be calling me probably around noon to let me know what the status isNoon came and wentI advised Brett to tell Kurt I wanted my warranty started over since the transmission has not worked properly since I've had itAccording to Brett- their rebuild warranties are only mosI told him mine was monthsHe advised that unless Kurt had approved that it wasn't typicalI advised Brett that if that was the case, the warranty on the transmission literally expired this month (months)I advised him that was not going to fly- a warranty needed to be started over. At 4:pm, a worker from Jerry’s calls me to say he doesn't know anything that is happening with my truck but Kurt is supposed to call me after he returns after running something to his wife's houseAt 5:I get a call from Jerry’s that went to voicemail. Kurt nonchalantly made excuses that he was doing this or that to the transmission but it wasn't fixedHe said he was ordering "springs" for it and it would be worked on tomorrowHe said Brett went home so that is why no one called me before thisHe didn’t even know I had talked to Brett before he leftHe made a monotone statement I could call tomorrow if I wanted toI called back leaving a voicemail on their business phone (that I also recorded) about how this was just another example of the issues they have with unprofessionalism and mistreating people by the lack of communication and respect they showI commented if someone was treating him this way he wouldn't accept it so I am not eitherI told them to call me in the morning and TELL ME WHEN MY TRUCK WAS GOING TO BE COMPLETEDWednesday 10-11-Still don't have my truckI got a call from the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) advising they had sent the complaint infoto Jerry's requesting a response to the issues(Recorded) Got a call later from Jerry’sBrett said that Kurt had tried every combination of "pressure springs" he could come up with but wasn't satisfied that it was running and assumed I wouldn’t find it acceptableKurt decided to put a different transmission inBrett said that Kurt advised I could come in the morning and "initial" the transmission they were putting in to verify it was a different oneI advised I didn't care what transmission was in as long as it worked properlyI also advised that if this was a whole new unit that a new warranty should definitely come with this oneBrett said he had mentioned the new warranty to Kurt and that Kurt didn't respond to himBrett said the transmission Kurt was putting in was already rebuilt so it was ready to be installed tomorrowHe said the truck may be done tomorrow if it all works rightBrett then said my water pump was making noiseI told him I've never had any issues with itBrett said he would keep me informed of thingsThursday 10-12-Still don't have my truckBrett sent me pictures via email of the different transmission they tried to put inIt wouldn't fit because the outside casing had different connection pointsThey had to rebuild ANOTHER ONE and will put that one in when it's doneAnd, oh by the way, they are telling me my water pump is going outThe water pump was brand new with the engine replacementI told them there was no problem with the water pump until THEY had the truckI told them that the transmission jerking on the serpentine belt probably broke it.Friday 10-13-17; I finally get a call from Jerry’s saying my truck is fixed and to come test drive itI show up and they have my truck up on the rack with the serpentine belt pulled off of itI'm recording- everything is on videoThey lowered the truck and Kurt attempts to show me how my water pump is hard to turn and is “freezing up”I videoed the puddle of water on the bay floor one of their shop workers said came out of the water pumpAnd, now they ALSO tell me my ALTERNATOR bearings are now ALSO going outI reminded them none of these issues existed prior to my bringing the truck in months ago and that they all run on the serpentine belt the faulty transmission has been jerking around for monthsKurt said he had bought a new serpentine belt (according to my recorded phone conversation with Brett- this was back on 10-9-(at least days earlier) that Kurt NEVER TOLD ME HE WAS DOING OR ASKED MY PERMISSION TO WORK ON MY ENGINE)They then put a serpentine belt on (I don’t know if it was the new one or old one but it would make sense that it was the new one he said he bought for it) and when they started the truck, it sounded like someone beating a child it was screaming so loudly (all recorded)It hurt my earsThey said that noise was coming from the water pump, not the serpentine beltI reminded Kurt that the truck wasn’t making that loud screaming noise before and reminded him the test drive I took and recorded on video the Saturday before and the test drive with him just at the beginning of the week didn’t having that going onKurt offered (recorded) to replace the water pump IF I WOULD BUY THE PUMP and they would install itHe said nothing about the alternatorI told him I didn't want them doing any engine work, *** *** would do any engine work necessary especially since the water pump and alternator are likely under warranty since the engine had just been replaced at the same time as the transmissionKurt AGREED with me that they shouldn't be working on the engine since they didn't want to be responsible for anything regarding it (yet they did stuff to it without my knowledge or permission already)I told him that if these parts ran off the same serpentine belt the transmission had been jerking the entire time then I shouldn't be responsible for the repair costsHe said he would see what the repairs entailedI asked if the truck was safe to test drive with the water pump screaming and leaking the way it was and he said for a short distanceI drove the truck (still recording everything)The transmission worked pretty well, but I did point out to him that at one point during a high speed transition, it did squeak againKurt said it was probably attributed to the water pump(But, apparently it wasn’t that- even after the water pump was replaced, there is still a high pitched short squeak coming from somewhere)Kurt said he would have my truck taken to *** *** on Monday since I couldn’t drive it with the water pump that way and that I could keep “The Rooster” loaner car until I got my truck back from HonestyKurt was leaving for an entire week for training and would be back the next MondayKurt stated (recorded) that he wanted me to remove all the negative reviews and complaints I filed since he had fixed the transmissionI told him no, that I would be happy to AMEND those complaints but for me to remove them entirely would be a whole different conversation because of what he had put me throughI advised him that for me to remove them entirely and feel “whole”, he would have to reimburse me the cost of the transmission AND give me a month warranty on the new transmission (and pay for any repair costs the water pump and alternator would incur) before I would even consider doing that since every word I said in the information was trueI told him unless he was willing to do all that, the only thing I would be willing to do was to AMEND the complaint information to him replacing the transmission after months and state that he had given me a new warranty if he decided to do thatHe said he wouldn't give me the money back for the transmission but did agree to the warranty and see what Honesty Automotive said about the other costs. He said after he got back from the training he would take me out to lunch and we could "arm wrestle" about the removal of the reviews since they would hurt his businessMonday 10-16-17; Honesty Automotive got my truck from Jerry'sThe water pump was under warranty with the new engine replacement but not the alternator, belt and coolant replacementThe labor cost to replace everything wasn't covered either$is what I had to pay after Honesty gave me a big discount on costs saying they felt bad for me for everything I had been throughHe didn't charge me for a new serpentine belt since Jerry's didn't send the one over with my truck that they said they bought for it. It had the old belt on it that Honesty said showed damage to itHonesty Automotive asked not to be put in the middle of the fight as to who was to blame for the additional parts malfunction and costsHe advised this was a small town and he did not want any business beefs with anyoneWith that, I contacted three other mechanics including the prior owner of Honesty Automotive who still owned the shop while my engine and transmission were being replacedHe along with two other mechanics (as well as a wealth of information on the internet) all advise it is not rocket science to connect the dots of how the transmission jerking the serpentine belt that runs both the alternator and water pump caused their failureIt is just too big of a coincidence that they both failed at the same time with no prior issues before I dropped off the truck, the water pump was new from the engine replacement, Jerry’s had done unknown, unauthorized work on the engine and the Ford dealership did not indicate any issues with either of them when it was looked at and hooked up to the computer Kurt had even offered to replace the water pumpIf he felt no culpability, he wouldn’t have done thatThursday 10-19-17; I called Jerry's and Brett talked to Kurt who was still at the training telling him how much the repairs at Honesty to replace the water pump, alternator, belt and fluid came toKurt said he wasn't paying itBut, Brett advised he did have my month warranty that Kurt said he would give me written outIt was ready to be picked upMonday 10-23-I contacted Jerry’s asking if Kurt was back from the training since he had advised he would be back and would contact me about the issuesBrett advised that Kurt was not getting back into town until pm but that Kurt would call me TuesdayI also asked Brett when the serpentine belt had been purchased for my truck and why it wasn’t on the truck when it was taken to HonestyBrett said he was pretty sure Kurt bought the belt Friday, the day he had me come in for the final test driveHe said they didn’t put it on the truck when they took it to Honesty since putting a brand new serpentine belt on with a leaking water pump would just foul that belt as wellHe said he believed they had already sent that belt back to where they bought itThis contradicts the information recorded in an earlier call that Kurt had already put a new belt on several days prior to thisIf they sent back the belt they purchased to the store they got it from, a belt that had coolant leaked onto it from my broken water pump, that wouldn’t seem very ethicalI also advised him that the brief “squeak” was still happening when changing gears at high speedsBrett suggested maybe it was the belt tensioner causing issuesI asked him to have Kurt call me when he got in on Tuesday about the parts costs and the complaint issues he wanted addressedTuesday 10-24-No call from Jerry’sAll of this is what REALLY happened on top of the stories that they had told me (that Kurt tried to again pass off as what happened in his response)- that Honesty Automotive had "ordered the wrong one" from Jerry'sJerry’s Transmission continues to try and make it the other shop’s fault for allegedly installing a wrong transmissionIf Honesty Automotive had received the wrong transmission after ordering one for the make, model and year for my truck, it was JERRY’S responsibility to give them the correct transmission, not Honesty Automotive’sHonesty Automotive isn’t a transmission shop, Jerry’s isThey only put in what they were given by Jerry'sIF the wrong transmission was sent for my truck, that's not Honesty Automotive's fault, it's Jerry's Transmission's faultRegardless, that story isn’t even trueWhile being recorded, Kurt was asked about that story I had been told and he said that WASN’T what happened and offered a DIFFERENT storyWhile being recorded, he now said the story was that Honesty was given the wrong transmission and when they realized it, Kurt had Honesty send him my own original, factory transmission to them to rebuild it so that one could be used in my truckThat never happened eitherI called Honesty Automotive asking about the stories Kurt had toldHonesty advised that Kurt's stories made no sense and said he had the receipts for all the work on my truck- including the ONE receipt they had for the transmission they had picked up from Jerry'sJerry's had the correct model of transmission on the receipt (I verified this by calling the FORD dealership, giving them my VIN and they provided the model that should have been used)Honesty had picked it up from Jerry's on 3/30/as a "carry out" meaning they picked it up and installed itAlso, no “core” was noted on the receipt meaning my own transmission was NOT given to themIt was a completely separate transmission unit. They picked up the transmission listed on the receipt from Jerry's Transmissions on Wednesday 3/30/I picked up my truck completed on Friday 4/1/in the morning (days later)I had asked Brett at Jerry’s Transmission (all recorded) how long it took them to rebuild a transmissionI asked him how long it would take them to rebuild one that someone dropped off and picked back up to install themselves from it being rebuilt by themHe advised it took days at a minimum just to rebuild oneTo install and replace all the coolants and test drive would be over 6-hoursHonesty automotive also gave the same install time frameWith Jerry’s Transmissions providing their own information of how long things take, there is literally no possible way Honesty Automotive could have gotten my truck to me the second day after picking up my alleged own original rebuilt transmission from Jerry’sThere was literally not enough time for all that to happen and then Honesty to install it back in my truck in less than daysNeither story Kurt tried to tell was true The receipt Honesty has proves itThat on top of the fact there was only ONE receipt for a transmissionIf two transmissions had been involved (especially the rebuild of my own), there would have been a second receipt for that rebuild since Jerry's wouldn't have had any way of knowing the alleged first transmission wasn't going to workThere's no second receipt or ANYTHING to indicate a second transmission was ever involvedI picked up the copy of the receipt Honesty Automotive had received from Jerry’s when they picked the transmission upOne obvious error is that Jerry's wrote my truck year as a Mine is a However, the transmissions were the same for those years so it doesn't really matter. I had also contacted Jerry’s Transmissions for all the receipts Jerry’s had and Brett advised they didn’t even have a copy of the one receipt that Honesty had given meIt was lost or somewhereThey also had lost the copy of the transmission warranty they had made me bring in to prove the transmission was one of theirsThey didn’t even have a copy for themselves on fileHe also admitted he didn’t have all the work orders and times I had brought it the truck to have it looked at anywhereHe called the shop documentation system as “good ole boy” and said they had a hard time keeping track of anythingHence the same reason Kurt had initially tried to argue with me saying they hadn’t had my truck for three months in a rowThey had no record of when I had dropped it off, but I didHonesty Automotive advised that Kurt at Jerry’s Transmissions is likely confusing what happened with a different vehicle that they had issues with at a different time with that of my truckOr, he is just making up excuses for not correcting a proven faulty transmission from the startWhile being recorded, Kurt was asked about having to finally replace the transmission they had given Honesty to install since he couldn’t ever get it fixed correctlyHe advised that, “95% of all transmission work fine with no issuesThe other 5% make your life a living hell”I agree, it took them months to fix MY living hell with their continued dismissing of me, refusing to fix the truck correctly, trying to tell me it was supposed to run that way, putting me through all the incidents with the loaner vehicles that put my safety and property at risk, stranding me during the wildfire evacuation, lying to me about all the stories of what happened, working on my engine and breaking additional parts (and refusing to pay for it) when they had no business touching my engine, keeping my truck for over months and forcing me to have to go to the point of filing all the complaints and having to video record everything just to get something doneAlso, my new engine was under warranty with Honesty Automotive and I would have never authorized Jerry’s to do any work on it (as I refused to allow them to do when Kurt offered to replace my water pump knowing he likely caused the issues) Kurt claims he isn’t responsible for the additional mechanical issues that MY TRUCK DID NOT HAVE prior to handing it over to them and are easily attributed to the faulty transmission jerking on the serpentine belt casing other parts to break and malfunctionI have three mechanics and a large amount of information from the internet backing that upThe Ford Dealership did not indicate ANY of these other mechanical issues existed when they hooked up the truck to the computerIt wasn’t until Jerry’s had the truck back from the Ford Dealership and did additional work to the transmission (having to put in three different ones) and then doing work on my engine (that I did NOT authorize or had any knowledge that they had done) that these mechanical issues happenedJerry’s had NO business working on the engine of my truck (especially when it was under warranty with another shop)They do transmissions, NOT enginesAfter months, filed complaints/negative reviews I had to do, multiple video/audio recorded contacts, transmissions and $I had to pay in replacing parts the transmission issues broke but Jerry’s refused to pay for despite working on my engine without my knowledge or permission, being repeatedly lied to, dismissed and having my personal safety and property put at risk I finally have my truck back in my possessionAm I satisfied with this resolution? NOThere is still a loud, brief squeak at high speed shifting and I should never had been put through all thisI also should have never had to pay for the additional repairs caused by Jerry’sKurt wants to play the victim saying the negative reviews will hurt his businessAGAIN, NOT A SINGLE THING I SAID ISN’T TRUEHe puts me through all of this but he wants to portray that this was just a big misunderstanding, all is well and it was someone else’s mistakeThat is not the truthSincerely, Heather Reeves
