The online photo which represented the frames I bought was very different in color than what was shipped to me. I ordered plein aire frames - 10 in a box - gold in color. I expected the gold to be near to the gold shade pictured on the website product page. This was my first order from the company. However, when the box arrived, I was very disappointed to find that all ten of the frames had an extremely brassy orange look to them, not all like the website photos. After contacting customer service via chat, they said the only way to return this product was to ship it back, and that they would not cover return shipping because, since there were so many complaints regarding these frames, they had added a disclaimer to their website. When I told them that the cost to return would be prohibitive and reminded them that the web photo was misleading, the CS rep ended the conversation abruptly. After I reconnected with the 2nd CS rep, he said the same thing ... that there had been a lot of complaints about the color of the gold frames and that they would not cover return shipping due because they put up the disclaimer.Trying to work with them, I then asked if returning the box to a [redacted]'s store about an hour away from me was an option. The rep told me that the store would not take the frames back. He said if they were ordered by mail, they would have to return by mail. Asked if he could give the store a call for me to see if they could do the shipping back to the warehouse, he told me that he was "too busy".I gave true feedback on the site after my purchase of these frames, and received an email from the company which included a screenprint of the product page with the disclaimer circled.I really feel that this product is misrepresented, disclaimer or not, and I got the distinct impression that customer service knew all about the issue with the gold frames from the messages they sent me. It seems that to put up a disclaimer was their way of shirking responsibility for the poor manufacture of the frames, while still keeping a photo up to promote sales of those frames. And then refuse to work with the customer in any way, shape or form is certainly disheartening, and monetarily damaging. I was hoping with this initial order that this would be a good company to establish a longtime relationship with in regards to frames, but now that I know how they operate, I'll be finding another source.Desired SettlementI would like a refund of the purchase price of the box of gold frames. I would like a prepaid return label emailed to me and a UPS pickup at my house scheduled.I would like to see the picture of the gold frame changed, or at least more pictures added on the product page so that customers can judge if the frame color will be appropriate for their uses.I would like an apology from CS and corporate for the grandstanding in regards to this issue.Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/Thank you so much for acting on my complaint against Jerry's Artarama. They have reached out to me and offered to refund. They also told me that they are looking into modifying product photos. If I don't see the credit to my account within the next week, I'll contact you again.Thank you for all you do. You give a voice to the consumer and for that I am grateful. Have a nice day.Sincerely,[redacted]

I ordered a set of 48 brushes 2 weeks before an art class and Jerry's mistakenly shipped only 24. I reported it right away, but Jerry's is not able to do any corrective action over the weekend. On Monday, they were unwilling to correct their mistake by rush shipping the replacement brushes to me in time for the Wednesday class unless I paid part of the rush shipping expense. I ended up cancelling the missing part of the order and found a new vendor. I would not recommend doing business with Jerry's since their customer service is non-existent on the weekend and they do not stand behind fixing their mistakes.

Need to cancel order & cannot get response from sellerOrdered [redacted] 2 in 1 studio easel. Sellers website said it was on backorder & would be in stock on 4/7/16. I cannot call them during the day because of my job & seller won't reply to me. I want my order cancelled! Payment is pending through PayPal. I placed my first order on Friday (1/22/16). There was a HUGE snowstorm rolling in the next day and all weekend. The city was at a stand still. I thought I might not hear anything for days...(I asked for 3 day delivery). I could not believe it when I received an email MONDAY!I was being contacted to have the shipping amount approved. I could not believe that I was being contacted the first day they opened after a record breaking blizzard!!! I was really impressed they were so on the ball. The lovely lady I dealt with was [redacted] in shipping and I hope her superior see's this. SHE was awesome!!! She went out of her way to get me the lowest shipping cost possible. I will refer people to Jerry's and I will be reordering from them for sure!

I ordered the KopyKake 300XK Projector... Clearly the picture of it on the website has a base and after looking at the options I decided to purchase the "table Clamp" for $10.00 more... it does NOT state that these are Separate models they have the same Model Number for the picture on THEIR website. I thought the $10.00 was an up-charge that was an added feature to the model it CLEARLY shows with the base on THEIR website and the SAME Model Number. I called and I was told they are separate.. A base model for 169.99 or the Table clamp Model for 179.99 ..and then I was informed I can NOW send it back at the cost of about $50.00 OR I can purchase the BASE alone for approx $50.00 on their website. This seems to be false advertising according to their website and why would anyone not not purchase the $169.99 model with the " $50.00 Base already on it? but the spend MORE for less is not very good business.

I ordered metal frames based on the description and picture on the website. When they arrives they were not at all what was pictured or described. On Sept 2, I placed order #XXXXXXXA for 10 16x20 gallery aluminum frames (5 in black and 5 in silver) based on information provided online. When the frames arrived on October 27th, they were very thin metal frames and not the substantially thick frames as depicted in photographs on the website. I contacted company Oct 31 by live chat where [redacted] said he also saw no description of the dimensions of the frames on the website and would investigate. Nov 1, I contacted the company again and a quote form that chat from customer service said," We do not have any description about the size of the molding or the depth of the frame. We do not include that kind of information for any of our frames. The word "gallery" is used to describe the quality of the frames not the depth of the frames." However, gallery depth is industry standard for a frame that holds a canvas or 1 1/2 inches deep and is the exact description of the hundreds of wood gallery depth frames I had ordered from this company prior. On Nov 1, I emailed pictures of the frames in my possession with a dime next to the frame to show the thickness as less than a dime and not the two inch thick frames that were depicted on the website identical to all the other wood frames by Ambience they had on their website. On Nov 4, I contacted them again and received a response to say [redacted] out of the office and would respond when he got back. A week later [redacted] emailed me saying that they would have the frames picked up by UPS Freight but that I had to pay for half the shipping. I emailed back saying that this was unacceptable because it was the false advertising that created the situation. I sent their own pictures and descriptions straight from their website that shows the previous wood frames that I order on a monthly basis were exactly like the aluminum frames which are VERY different.XXXXXX Gallery Aluminum Frames - Box of 6 16x20" - Black $49.95 5 $249.75XXXXXX Ambiance Gallery Aluminum Frames - Box of 6 16x20" - SilverMerchandise total $499.50, Shipping $149.83, Subtotal $649.33, Tax 00, total amount $649.33$49.95 5 $249.75 Merchandise Total $499.50Shipping $149.83Subtotal $649.33Tax $0.00You Saved: $1,597.50 Total Amount $649.33Desired SettlementI want my full refund including shipping and I want the frames picked up from my house at the company's expense.Business Response /[redacted]/We apologize that the product did not have the information on the page that would have brought clarity to the customer. While we disagree that gallery implies a particular depth, we will issue a call tag at our expense and refund the customer. However we would suggest calling to ask about a product before buying it in bulk to make sure that it will work for your needs if the page does not specify the information.

This company sends me emails promising me free shipping.once I spend so much time on their website shopping, they do not honor it. also overcharge I have ordered before from this company. I have an account with them associated with my email address. They email me promises that I will get free shipping if I order a certain $amount. I waste long periods of time browsing their website to choose what I will buy. Only to be faced with the reality that not only I have to pay shipping, but also an outrageous amount that I have never seen before, and I shop online frequently. Shipping is mostly free frommost websites (Hawaii is in the US and the USPS does not discriminate this state for flat rates. This company was charging me almost $300 in shipping fees for an item priced $81 that fits in a box. I called this conpany about this : why offer me free shipping if they know I do not qualify for it on the account associated with the email they use to send me the offer? Its dishonest and manipulative. The manager that spoke with me at that time was very rude, arrogant, and Unfriendly. I told them they did not have my permission to continue sending me these false advertisements. To only send me offers that I could use! Yet they continued to send them. A froend told me that this company gets so many complaints from residents of HI due to their unreasonable shipping fees which clearly are not for the customer, someone is having a huge profit from shipping those items. And this friend told me they were changing thei policy to Hawaii to align with most other businesses who also exyend free shipping here after a certain $ amount. So today when I read this email I was certain I would get free shipping. Otherwise why would they be sending me this email, after I already complained extensively about this extremely false advertising that targets me directly by sending it to me at my personal email address, that I had specifically asked not to use unless with offers I was qualified for. I was certain they had finally chamged their policy, like rumors said. I spent a large part of my only day off shopping on their site to make sure I would reach rhe reqired dollar amount to benefit from free shipping and in the end, not even a teasoble rate to choose from!! There were three options that ranged from $289 to $430. This is to ship iyems that amounted to $81! Once again I feel this outrage of having been lied to, misled! Hoping for an offer delivered to my email that was nothing but a lie! This company cannot continue to do this with impunity. I wa t free shipping for my order. Just like they promised when they emailed ME abpersonal email directed to me, a resident of Hawaii as they very well know, and as I made sure I madr it clear when I called them and made a serious and formal complaint.Desired SettlementI am requesting free shipping for my order exactly like they promised me. If I dont qualify for living in Hawaii, then do not send that offer to me. I have formalized this request directly with the company. But apparently it is too much work for this company to filter their free shipping offers to be sent only to the 48 contiguous states. If they dont want to bother doing that, which is their sole responsibility, why should I pay the price and waste so many hoirs browsing their website, only to be denied free shipping on my last step of checkout? It is rxtremely frustrating and abusive of this company to do this knowingly with the arrogance of a company who doesnt care about the inconvenience they cause to the customers, just because they love this free advertising. If you're usung my mailbox to advertise offers I cannot use, how much ate you going to pay me for such advertising? I suggest you pay by honoring the offer you're advertising and offering to Me ( by name). And that is free shipping.Business Response Hello,I want to apologize that the customer has been receiving emails that while offering discounts, and sales, also has an offer that isn't valid to their state. Shipping costs to Hawaii are drastically different than to the 48 contiguous states. We regret that we cannot make the offer cover shipping for Hawaii. We are looking into segmenting and creating email offers for HI, Ak, and PR. I hope that we can roll out this new email promotion soon. In the meantime if the customer would like to suspend receiving email offers we will gladly do so as I understand seeing part of an offer that isn't valid to them is frustrating.Consumer Response The company does not honor their offers. Period. This is a dishonest company that is using our private email address for FREE publicity. If they ran an ad on any media channel, they would have to pay huge amounts! But of course it is a lot better to do it for free even though they know and admit it in their response above that they are wrong, that it is frustrating for the customer to be offered something they will NOT honor? Is this even legal? I will forward my complaint to the State Attorney and find out. To say that they are trying to filter their offers is Not Acceptable! You either honor an offer or you do not send this offer at all. Basically in their response they say they are going to continue doing it, while admitting it is wrong and frustrating. As far as the shipping costs, they are lying too. Living in Maui we do most of our shopping online because ot is very limited what our local stores offer. MOST retailers offer free shipping! Amazon offers free shipping, most sellers on ebay offer free shipping and many arts shops and crafts offer free shipping. However those businesses that charge for shipping always have reasonable realistic rates! [redacted]'s for instance will have rates that vary from $5.95 to 14.95! Thats it! Wirh this Jerry's dishonest company, they offered me three options that went from $249 to over $400! For an item that costs $81!!!I have shipped a large painting from Maui to Portugal, which is across the world and two oceans, insured by Ups, and I paid $116! I have never seen the shipping rates that Jerry's Artarama imposes! Never! How can all businesses offer either free shipping or reasonable rates to HI, and this company cant? This needs to be investigated. The US postal services offer flat rates, regardless of the weight! As long as it fits in the box, it wont cost more than $18 per box. This company is dishonest, and greedy. It also has the most horrible customer service. They are arrogant and rude to the customers that are paying for their salary. Very ungrateful business! I love some of the products they sell. But this business is the opposite of what customer service should be. I will never buy from them again. Their response shows very well how unwilling they are to make things right. And how they dont CARE one bit about tbe customers. The only thing tbat matters to them is their big pockets. Final Business Response We send out our advertisements stating that the free shipping offer that we make is a service level that isn't offered to your state. We offer over 70,000 different sku's which have a highly wide range of sizes, weights, and restrictions. While the post office does offer flat rate boxes, a significant amount of products cannot fit into these boxes and it would create confusion for the customer in ordering and knowing what and how much can fit into a box. We have researched this option and it isn't viable in our business model.I regret that we cannot offer free shipping to your location. However I am not trying to be rude or arrogant. I am trying to find solutions to the issues you present. Different businesses can offer different shipping rates due to the product they sell or the variety of items they offer.I apologize that you feel that we don't care but that is actually the furthest thing from the truth. We are willing to work with our customers and look for solutions to issues. Unfortunately shipping costs on our larger and heavier items simply cannot be shipped free to Hawaii due to higher shipping costs. We are looking at segmenting our emails to give them a different offer to help offset shipping and hope to have that offer to that group of customers that cannot receive free shipping.

Jerry's Artarama web site advertises sales and product quantity descriptions that they refuse to honor.I was on the Jerry's Artarama's website and found a "Sold in Packs of 5" Daylight D20 LED lamp in silver so I purchased them. I thought the price was really great on a pack of 5, but wanted to verify with someone that they would be shipped at the same time. I tried to call but do to it being a Holiday weekend, it went to a answering machine. I then tried their chat and chatted with [redacted] When the mail delivered my package I was shocked to only receive one (1) lamp so I called Jerry's Artarama's Customer Service. I talked to [redacted] (Customer Service Manager) and he refused to honor what the website stated and said that it was a mistake, but said he would refund my money for one (1) lamp and that I can keep the (1) lamp, but that is not what I purchased. The website states "Sold in Packs of 5" and that is what I purchased. As of today,1/7/2016, the website is still showing "Sold in Packs of 5" http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discount-art-supplies/lighting/daylight-lamps-and-... I feel that this is a bait and switch because it is still being advertisedDesired SettlementI would like Jerry's Artarama to honor their advertisement and fulfill my order and send the four Daylight D20 silver lamps that I did not receive.Business Response I do deeply regret the typo on our website. We have corrected the issue on the website. It did take a couple days for this correction to push through to the site. However we have not intended to deceive our customer base. A mistake was made and we have refunded the customer in full for the item and any ship costs that were associated with the order. We feel allowing the customer to keep the item they received and refunding them in full for the purchase is more than fair.Consumer Response When I Chatted with [redacted] a representative for Jerry's Artarama, I asked her "I am making sure that I am receiving a pack of 5 lamps, as it states on your site.", and [redacted] said "One moment. Yes, that is correct". A copy of that chat can be forwarded to you. So Korine looked at her company's own website and confirmed my purchase. When I talked to [redacted] I told him that I did not want a refund. It is not my fault that someone at Jerry's Artarama made a mistake. I just want what I ordered, which was the Daylight D20 LED Lamp "Sold in Packs Of 5". It truly shows you the times that we are living in, when a so called reputable company will not do the Right and Honorable thing. Final Business Response I again apologize there was a typo error on the website. I agree that our representative based their response on the same information that you saw. I realize that it is not your fault that this mistake existed on the site. We have corrected the mistake and as I have stated we are refunding you in full for your order and also have stated you may keep the lamp for free.We regret that we cannot honor the typo and we have done everything to make this a fair resolution by refunding you in full and letting you keep the item.

This company refused to refund my membership fee. Called and was told it was not their policy to refund. I signed up for their discount membership and paid a $79 fee. I learned after signing up online that delivery to Hawaii was only through FedEx or UPS. The cost to ship the products (a few paint brushes) was more much more than the products cost ($100 in brushes, $115 to ship). I called immediately and spoke with a representative (Al)who gave me a Reference [redacted] and advised me to to email the head of service: [redacted]@aswexpress.com and request a refund. I did and never heard from this person. I called again a week later and spoke with another representative who put [redacted] ? on the phone. [redacted] informed me that the email address was incorrect and that he ALWAYS returns calls and emails promptly. He asked me to email him instead at '[redacted]@jerrysartarama.com' and he would get back to me. I asked if he would refund me since I cancelled the same day I signed up. He said it was not the company's policy to refund membership fees. He requested that I email him at [redacted]@jerrysartarama.com and that he would promptly respond. I have not heard from him since sending the email May 27, 2014.Desired Settlement$79 membership refundBusiness Response /[redacted]/We are refunding the customer in full for her membership.
