Review: I placed an online order with the Jerry's Subs and Pizza in [redacted], MD at 12:03pm today (10/07/2013). My delivery time was 12:47pm. When 1pm came around, I called the store to inquire about my order. I was told by the manager (who I thought was just a cashier at the time) that the driver had 3 delivery orders in front of me and would be here within the next 5mins. When 1:30pm approached, I called the store again and asked to speak to a manager because I still had not yet received my order. I was given a name and number. I called twice and left a message without a returned call. The associate proceeded to tell me that the original delivery guy was late, refused to call me, and was fired for a lack of better words. He then said that another driver had my food (?) and had left his store 5mins again and would be here shortly. As time went on, still no food. I called the store for the last time at 2pm and asked to speak to a manager and not an associate. The same associate I had been speaking to informed me that he was in fact the manager. I asked him why would he give me the name and number of the manager if that was in fact his position. I then asked for his manager, the owner's name and the corporate number. He called the driver again and told me the driver was still on his was and of course, 5mins away. I told the associate/manager I didn't want the food anymore and I would like a refund. He told me because my order was placed online, there was nothing he could do about. Although, he could give me a free meal of my choice tomorrow. That is not what I wanted, so I repeated that I needed a refund. He said he would see what he could do. After hanging up with him, I called the Corporate Office and filed a former complaint. The manager called me back from the number he had given me to apologize because he didn't want to ruin my day. Two hours too late for the apology with still no food to show for it. I will NEVER visit this location again. The customer service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!Desired Settlement: A refund for my order, a formal apology in writing on a letterhead, and a free catered lunch for my office.

I am rejecting this response because:

The funds were not returned the same day but days later. As far as the driver is concerned, I was told he was fired and another one was hired that day. I did receive calls apologizing but that was after I had been lied to for hours and had already called corporate.
