I am rejecting this response because: As previously stated in complaint all facts regarding complaint are accurateSince have hired a new plumber and he stated that water line was not drained properly for winter shut downThis resulted in referigerator regulator to burst over winter on two year old referigerator its obvious that when old plumber realized there error and leak they closed water valve to kitchen area to reduce leak from fridgeNew plumber stated water line working fineits also obvious that old plumber realized that there was a leak and opened back copper line to fridge and left a brass fitting on floorPlumbers respone is totally incorrect we called him ^ times between phone calls and e mails with no response back until legal action and insurance carrier request

Jersey Shore Plumbing & Design did the job that they were hired to do.   Turn water on and check for leaks.  As for winterizing the house, we shut water off at the street and blew air through every fixture until there was no water coming out of any fixtures.  This is the correct way and the only way to winterize a home.  We have been winterizing homes the same way for years.   As stated before in last response.  Jersey Shore Plumbing did not add, remove or touch any fittings on the back of refrigerator.  Customer must have had another plumber or the person who installed the refrigerator add the brass fittings.   Both times we were in the house -  there were no leaks.   Jersey shore Plumbing never touched any valves in the kitchen area or anywhere in the house.  The plumbing in this house is very very old and that is why we turn the water off at the street.  We purposely do not touch any valves in older homes for this reason.   Of course the new plumber is going to say that the house was not winterized properly - he is trying to gain a new customer because there is a lot of plumbing work that should be done in that house. If the customer did suspect a leak on the refrigerator on April 18th (which there was not) why would the homeowner or anybody leave the water on to the house knowing you were not coming back until May 11th. Jersey Shore Plumbing & Design is not responsible for any leaks or damage to this home.

Review: hired to turn on water on summer home created a leak by not attaching proper fitting for refrigerator water and ice maker which resulted in water leak. called and texed in excess of 6 times before threating leagal action. Asked for insurance carrier was not given.Desired Settlement: repair damage done to home from leak and fix what you have broken.
