Jersey Tractor Trailer Training Reviews (9)

The actual Jersey Tractor Trailer Training student, *** ***, has been to the school on numerous occasions for one to one instruction relative to the CDL Knowledge
tests. *** has no complaints, only complements. The $that is being disputed by *** ***, was retained to cover the cost of all the supplied study materials and the one to one personal instruction. *** was successful at passing some of the required knowledge tests. We are still prepared to continue his one to one instruction regarding these tests. Services for the $have been rendered and we will continue to render CDL knowledge test services at no additional charge Thank You and have a nice day, Jerry, Controller, JTTT

I paid for my sessions Assumed the school followed a set curriculum but they don’t The state can test you on many categories off set right or left alley dock and parralel parking I was given only one session which included parralel and I failed my road test This means you have to pay for more classes Before your done you will have to pay over $4,if your not being sponsored by the state Two of my instructors were fairly new to teaching and one drove the truck more than I did during my lessons and the other you could see was getting frustrated because his teaching technique was not working with me At the end of the day I had to pay an extra $1,for more lessons So the class cost almost $4,dollars The do end the sessions minutes early so you don’t get two full hours of training

The school is very professional and the instructors are professional and they prepped you for the exams, I pass my CDL Class A on first time
Thanks JTTT

While at the facility, I was told I could not inspect the truck on my own for practice purposesThe reason I was told was for insurance reasonsThis is dissappointing because students can benefit from inspecting the truck on a more frequent basis like this and feel trusted doing so

hello I was a student trying to obtain my CDL drivers licenseI had failed my road test twiceThis school pretty much sells themselves out as a guarantee that you will passI was going through unemployment and now they want cash for more lessons and a road testMy issue with the school is every lesson is SUPPOSE to be hours and they bring you back min early every lessonIf you add it all up I lost atleast hours of driving time which is not fair to meI dedicated a lot of time in this to be turned awayPlease help me with this issueThanks

I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS TRACTOR TRAILER TRAINING SCHOOL!
Three of my instructors were excellent but one of the instructors in the classroom was very boringHe teached the same exact thing everyday He put everyone to sleepUnfortunately I didn't pass the driving test the first timeI was supposed to get a second chance but never got oneI ended up going to EZ Wheels and paying another $and got retested in less than a week Thanks to EZ wheels I now have my CDL!

Jersey Tractor Trailer Training does not sell any guaranteed to pass programs nor do we promote the notion that all students will pass the new motor vehicle road test.
In fact, we advise our students from day one that the new road test is both challenging and...

comprehensive.  The test is administered by MVC Inspectors, and therefore, the test is inherently subjective and arbitrary.  We have no control over test results at Motor Vehicle.  Since the new road test was implemented last July, only the very best
students pass.  The State wide failure rate is 90%.  Unemployment pays for 120 clock hours of training.  This student exceeded those hours at our expense.  We will consider
additional free training and another road test only if the student can pass part one of the road test, i.e., the nine page pre-trip inspection.  We will test the student at our
School.

At your service,
Jerry

Review: I was told your school was going to help place me with a lifetime job placement. Which it hasn't even tried. I was also told that your school would help prepare me to work in the field which it really hasn't and your school had several unhelpful nasty employees. I paid close to 3000 to your cdl mill of a school which told me they'd prepare me to work in the field not just get my cdl. After I got my cdl I haven't had any help finding a job except one email and you guys have my resume. I wouldn't recommend your school to anyone and I feel deserve a partial refund because your school was not what you advertised nor did you train me To operate more than one truck.Desired Settlement: I deserve a partial refund for your inadequate schooling And horrible trainers. No real job placement and just all around false advertisement.

Response:

The clients complaints lack inherent logic and validity. The client was rendered exactly what he paid for, i.e., drivier training and a road test which he passed on his first attempt. This necessarily indicates quality training. No CDL school would train a student on a various model trucks with various model transmissions. This would lead to road test failure. Furthermore, the client never returned to the school for job placement assistance. The CDL job market is exceptionally strong this year, therefore, the client's inability to find work is most likely related to other non-related factors such as a poor work, driving, and or criminal history. Failure to pass an employer administered pre-hire road test is another factor. Jersey Tractor Trailer Training School places students in CDL jobs everyday. We have the pre-approved for hire letters for every LWD student.

I am rejecting this response because:the gentleman has no idea what he is talking about. Not only did I call and spoke to [redacted] who is there job placement guy but I also dropped off my resume. [redacted] in [redacted] offers more than one type of truck training and most companies that are hiring won't Hire without prior experience so get the facts right.

Review: 8/2014 I went to Jersey Tractor with my 19 yr old son to inquire on the program for behind the wheel training. The school advertises permit readiness classes for FREE. No contract was signed since we did not have the money to enroll. 12/10/2014 I paid online $1850.00 through [redacted] for CDL A behind the wheel training. Still no contract was signed. 1/2015 I contacted Mike M due to my son having issues passing the permit tests needed to start behind the wheel. I asked for a refund until he passed. Mike advised there were no refunds though nothing on the business site advises this. I then contacted the owner Bill O. I explained to him the same and advised nothing states there were no refunds. Mr. O stated he could do that but would I wait a little longer and allow him to have an employee tutor my son for the test. Between then and April he had attended 4 tutoring classes. In the middle of 4/2015 my son started a full time job preventing him from tutoring, testing or training and he decided he wanted to wait and focus on the new job with the [redacted]. I called Mr. O 4/20/2015 and explained I needed to do the refund as we had discussed but offered to allow them to keep $500.00 for the time invested by the tutor though I was never advised the tutoring would have a charge. Mr. O advised me to call back 4/24/2015. When I called he offered only $500.00 of the $1850.00. He advised I lose $500.00 automatically and for the tutors time another $850.00. That was unacceptable. Mr O offered me to speak with his lawyer about the contract and stated from a business stand point I should get no refund. I advised him there was NEVER a contract signed only a payment online for services not rendered. I called back and he is offered $1000.00 back. Keeping $500.00 for tutoring and $350.00 for the permit classes. I advised the classes are free. This morning 4/27/2015 I picked up a refund of $1350.00. The $500.00 kept needs to be returned.Desired Settlement: Mr. O offered the tutoring provided and never stated there would be a charge. I wanted a refund before the tutoring. I did offer $500.00 in the beginning though I didn't have to, but since Mr O began to try and withhold as much as he could for no reason, I would like the $500.00 kept back as well. The business is trying to keep money they are not entitled to.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:First of all the student was [redacted] not [redacted]. The school however has no signed contracts or paperwork to remember this. I was NEVER advised the offered tutoring would have a charge therefore there is no contract to bound for this fee. I asked for a refund in January and the owner Bill O asked me to allow them to tutor so I did. He passed 1 of 3 tests and NO course materials as they put it were given. We had a book we got from motor vehicle. Jersey Tractor does provide a CD for studying but again is at no charge and included with the initial course explanation. We were given this folder in August 2014 by Mike M BEFORE I ever paid for the course. The payment was for BEHIND THE WHEEL. BEHIND THE WHEEL TRAINING WAS NEVER PROVIDED SO NO PORTION OF THE $1850.00 PAID IS ENTITLED TO BE KEPT BY JERSEY TRACTOR.
