JES Sales Company Reviews (10)

The second set of paperwork sent to [redacted] does say “Primary failed part: RCylinder HD” on the first page The paperwork shows that the approved warranty repair work done to the engine and paid for by Detroit Warranty was finished April 7, 2010, the point of engine failure was the cylinder head Page & 3rd pages shows all the parts used to repair the engine, the last page is a narrative of what took place It states that with tests a head gasket was found blown The coolant was drained, Dis-assembled top of engine, removed cylinder head, found head cracked Cleaned block, replace liners, pistons were bead blasted and reused, disassemble engine and replace all piston coolers and six packsReplace rod bearings and oil pump, replace head and all bolts Complete re-assembly of engine, refill with new fluids, steam clean, and road tested The only component that was not replaced, that would have been done if the in-frame was done because of wear, was the pistons Pistons must have been within specifications otherwise Detroit Warranty department would have replaced them or charged the customer for the replacement On a in frame to an engine the Cylinder Head is not replaced or rebuiltSo this engine had more work done to it years ago than a in frame would have

JES Sales did not use advertising regarding this truck When our personal were inspecting the trucks, they were given repairs documentation, and they would try and keep the correct pages to the correct truckWe try to keep all the paperwork in the correct files, but mistakes can happenIt was stated in the ad that the truck had "approx200,miles" on the in-frame, so it was not a recent in-frameIf the in-frame was done years or years ago it is still the same mileageJES Sales is not going to refund the money for a paperwork mistake that was corrected

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/10/21) */
Regarding the EGR and in-frame not being done, we have verified repair orders from FYDA Freightliner for the work being doneThe EGR was worked on May 6, mileage on truck 697,milesThe in-frame was done under warranty May
16, mileage on the truck 700,milesTruck was sold to customer March 5, with 810,milesCustomer was made aware of the repairs and they were noted on the invoice and the 110,miles the truck was driven since the repairs were doneCustomer should have also received all the paperwork that we had regarding repairs to the truck
It is very hard to believe FYDA Freightliner would put in writing and charge for repairs that have not been doneFYDA Freightliner is a nationally recognized dealer founded in October 1954, has repair locations in OH and two in PA
Regarding the brakes, customer test drove the truck before purchasing it, you would think he would have mentioned the brakes not working after test driving it
I believe none of us at JES Sales received any calls from Sergio regarding issues with the truck or a call after the drive home complaining about the brakes
With the verified repair information we provided to customer, the test drive, and the "less than 100,miles" the truck has been driven since purchasing the truck, I believe we are not responsible for any of the repairs or loss of incomeThe customer should contact FYDA Freightliner regarding the engine since they are the company that did the repairs to the truck
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/10/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They are a fraudulent company
And never do buisness or refer none of my
Buisness partners to them

I am rejecting this response because:
I totally disagree with Jes Sales responseI am not disputing the time frame when the work was doneI am disputing the work that was doneTruck was advertised and sold as having a complete in-frame doneWhen I purchased this truck Jes Sales provided documentation stating that it had a complete in frame done totally up to $10,When I questioned Jes Sales they admitted to providing wrong documentationWhen they emailed me the second set of paperwork the documentation stated that the truck ONLY had the head of the motor doneMistakes do happen but this is an $11K mistake which I should not be liable forIt is not my fault that Jes Sales filed the wrong paperworkHad they never advertised the truck as having a complete in-frame I would have never purchased the truck

I am rejecting this response because:
I totally disagree with Jes Sales response. I am not disputing the time frame when the work was done. I am disputing the work that was done. Truck was advertised and sold as having a complete in-frame done. When I purchased this truck Jes Sales provided documentation stating that it had a complete in frame done totally up to $10,500. When I questioned Jes Sales they admitted to providing wrong documentation. When they emailed me the second set of paperwork the documentation stated that the truck ONLY had the head of the motor done. Mistakes do happen but this is an $11K mistake which I should not be liable for. It is not my fault that Jes Sales filed the wrong paperwork. Had they never advertised the truck as having a complete in-frame I would have never purchased the truck.

The second set of paperwork sent to [redacted] does say “Primary failed part: R23538858 Cylinder HD” on the first page.   The paperwork shows that the approved warranty repair work done to the engine and paid for by Detroit Warranty was finished April 7, 2010, the point of engine failure was the cylinder head.  Page 2 & 3rd pages shows all the parts used to repair the engine,   the last page is a narrative of what took place.   It states that with tests a head gasket was found blown.  The coolant was drained, Dis-assembled top of engine, removed cylinder head, found head cracked.  Cleaned block, replace 6 liners, pistons were bead blasted and reused, disassemble engine and replace all 6 piston coolers and six packs. Replace rod bearings and oil pump, replace head and all bolts.  Complete re-assembly of engine, refill with new fluids, steam clean, and road tested. The only component that was not replaced, that would have been done if the in-frame was done because of wear, was the pistons.   Pistons must have been within specifications otherwise Detroit Warranty department would have replaced them or charged the customer for the replacement.  On a normal in frame to an engine the Cylinder Head is not replaced or rebuilt. So this engine had more work done to it 6 years ago than a normal in frame would have.

JES Sales did not use false advertising regarding this truck.
When our personal were inspecting the trucks, they were given repairs documentation, and they would try and keep the correct pages to the correct truck. We try to keep all the paperwork in the correct files, but mistakes can...

happen. It was stated in the ad that the truck had "approx. 200,000 miles" on the in-frame, so it was not a recent in-frame. If the in-frame was done 4 years or 6 years ago it is still the same mileage. JES Sales is not going to refund the money for a paperwork mistake that was corrected.
