I used Penguin Air for a routine seasonal pm on my a/c heating equipThe tech spent a great deal of time on his phone (definitely making personal call/s) & trying to sell an extended equipment maintenance contract & several "upgrades" I don't know what he actually did other than visually inspect the ground unit & air handler portion that is up in the attic I notified Penguin Air about my experience & based on my overall impression of this company, I would not recommend them & feel it was a waste of money!
We have used Penguin Air for years now, annual check, year old AC system First year all dandy, last year a motor replacement This year a leak, dust, mold and $3K bill!!!
We did purchase a Maintenance Plan, but really we are now wondering what the heck they did for the 1st two years I'm very leery We had to pay for cleaning, which they dropped the price to 1/when we complained Apparently they state that a visit and Maintenance are two different things We are very unhappy and really could not afford this huge bill I'm also checking with other services now

Acclaim will call you to offer a condenser coil rinse and a system inspection for ~30. They came over, shined a flashlight in a vent, opened up the blower, hemmed and hawed a bit at it, then sat down at the table to try to sell me a 10-year preventative maintenance plan for several thousands of dollars.
I consider myself a pretty assertive person, and I felt more pressure from a salesperson than I ever have. I had to stand up and ask them to leave my house.
At then end of the experience, I felt like I paid 30 dollars for nothing other than a high-pressure sales pitch in my own home. Please think twice before inviting this business to your home.
