The customers vehicle is a 1999 Ford F-250 with a 5.4 liter engine and had 221,198 miles at the time of service. The work we completed on this vehicle on or around January 6,2014 included the removal and replacement of the timing...

cover,fuel filter,and the oil filter. We also drained and refilled the engine oil. The services we completed also included replacing the water pump,timing cover gasket set, automatic transmission seal,transfer case gasket,a left hand and right hand tensioner,refilling the transmission fluid,and also adding an oil treatment to the engine oil. All parts replaced were purchased by the customer and brought into our shop for installation.
On December 1,2014 the customer's 1999 Ford F-250 came in for service. At this time it had 233,293 miles on it. The valve cover gasket on the right side was to be replaced. This part had never been replaced by my shop ever before. The estimated time to complete the repair was 2.3 hours according to the MOTOR technical reference guide which we use to bill out labor hours. Our shop labor rate is $98 per hour. The amount charged for the labor to replace this part was $225.40.
In regards to the customer stating that he does not have an outstanding balance is from work we completed on or around January 8,2014. The customer brought in a 1992 GMC Jimmy for repair. A fuel injector set was purchased by the customer at a salvage yard or auto parts store to be replaced and was installed. The customer did not pay the bill for the repair. The customer has previously stated that the reason why the bill was not paid is because the vehicle is not fixed and does not run. When the technician completed the repairs on the vehicle it was driven away by the customer never to be seen again. We have made the customer welcome to bring the vehicle in for a recheck on several different occasions. The customer does have an outstanding balance in the amount of $171.40 with $5.00 deducted from the original balance of $176.40.
In conclusion,I feel we performed and completed the service on the vehicle that the customer contracted us to and we charged a very fair amount.
