Complaint[redacted]I was fitted for a dress in April the owner was in a hurry for it was closing time and very rushed was told dresses be in mid july so lots of time to be altered. Dresses did not come till late aug. I picked up my dress brought back to saskatoon to have my dress altetred here in city took to 2 different seam stresses to have both tell me the dress was pre altered and 4 sizes to small none of the seams where surged. I then drive back to Regina to see the owner/seamstress can fix [redacted]. [redacted]. She then later states that I have gained weight from day of ordering 5 inches[redacted]. Bride was not happy that the owner switched my dress to a darker shade.[redacted]. The dress did not match any of the other bridesmaid dresses. The dress was dirty stained she then claimed she made the corset to match the bride [redacted]. I also had to back out of wedding because I have no dress.Desired SettlementJust a refund. [redacted]Business Response Hello,I am responding to a complaint put in by [redacted]. [redacted]. [redacted] complaint is directed at the alterations done on her bridesmaid dress. [redacted] was most difficult to work with she made me stay 3 hours late after work on a Saturday to wait for her to begin her alterations as she had told me that her bridesmaid dress was 4 sizes too small. [redacted] did not show up on Saturday even though I repeatedly called the bride to ensure they were coming and I wasn't wasting my time waiting on her. Days later when [redacted] did show up at the store to begin her alterations she was [redacted] accusing us of previously altering her dress which we did not. [redacted] felt that because the edges along the inner liner of the dress were not surged it meant we altered the dress and did not put it back together. This is not true I showed [redacted] multiple dresses in the store none of which were the inner liner edges surged. That is how the dresses are made. I told [redacted] that her dress was not 4 sizes to small and that it would be no problem to remove the zipper of the dress and elongate the existing corset back to ensure the dress fits. [redacted] left the store we removed the zipper and elongated the corset. When [redacted] returned she was shocked the zipper was taken out and she began to complain again. We had done everything we could do to make this bridesmaid dress work for [redacted]. My manager [redacted] re measured [redacted] and realized that her measurements had gone up 5 inches. We explained to the bride that [redacted]'s measurements had changed and that is why her dress was too small. We did not tell [redacted] her measurements changed we did not want to upset her. [redacted]. We will not be giving [redacted] a refund [redacted]Thank you,[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They kept the dress did not give me a refund. As for her waiting 3 hours staying late I was not once ever informed by jessica bridal nor the bride. [redacted] Final Business Response We did not keep [redacted]'s bridesmaid dress. [redacted] I told [redacted] that she is no longer welcome in the store and that we will no longer help her or finish any alterations on her dress. When the bride found out how awful [redacted] was treating us she came down to the store and apologized for [redacted]'s behavior and choice of words. The bride, [redacted] then paid for the alterations that were done to [redacted]'s dress and wrote us a letter taking responsibility for the bridesmaid dress and informed us that if [redacted] would like the dress she would personally deliver it to her. [redacted]. [redacted] will not receive a refund. [redacted] will need to contact the bride to get her dress back as the bride has taken the dress from the store and [redacted] is not welcome here.
