apologize profusely and then ring up the purchase with a 10% discount. If the owners would have been contacted at the time of the incident, we could have remotely signed into the system and fixed the price. But the owners were not contacted at the time, but later informed of the incident. We would like to apologize and let everyone know that we do our best to keep up with our sale signage, but there are times when employees will inadvertently place them on the wrong product. We apologize for this and will be more conscientious of this in the future.

I am rejecting this response because: I was not offered the discount and I had to ask the number of the supervisors to call and complain. I spoke with her later that afternoon when she returned my call. There were two bottles misrepresented. If what the business said in the response were really true - that they mistakenly placed the signs - the clerk said the signs had been in place for 2 weeks and she knew it was in the wrong place. What the business response for the "mistake" made it sound like they were apologetic but there was no sound of being "sorry" in the store. It was more of a haughty "It's not a grocery store that they could go back and change a mistaken sign. Yet she was in the process of throwing the signs away as we were speaking. The attitude was more like "Whoops you caught us cheating but we are not going to make any changes."
