Response: This complaint involves a boat that was traded into our dealership on January 3, At that time the dealership was supposed to transfer the boat into the name of the dealershipHowever, the boat was transferred out of state on January Due to an oversight on the dealership,
the request for transfer was never made until the consumer made contact with dealership on or about March 27, At that time contact was made with *** County to get the process startedTwo separate attempts were made to the County Clerk to have the boat removed from the name of the customer*** *** was not helpful with the process and I am sure that is where the majority of the frustration that has happened on both sidesIt is Jet-A-Marina policy to dealer transfer all boats and trailersThis one simply fell between the cracksWe sincerely apologize to customer for all of the inconvenience he has endured during this process

[redacted]At this time I cannot except the response that this has been an oversite by Jet-A- Marina. They have not spoken to the [redacted] once about this issue. They claim to have e-mailed the [redacted] office with whom I have spoken to on many occasions. It appears after spending 4 or more hours at the [redacted] county clerks office and filling the proper paperwork to have this boat removed from my name this is a on going problem. The boat dealer knows they are required by law to transfer ownership with in 15 days in the state of Kentucky. Apparently the dealers are unwilling to pay transfer cost as normal citizens of the state of KY are required.This boat today would still be in my name if not for the help I received from the [redacted] with the proper filling of the improper transfer paperwork. I have also referred this issue onto the [redacted] as was recommended and I will await their response also.
