I am rejecting this response because: still streaks in driveway as of 12-as seen in these photosAlso issues still unresolved and jet seal owner making statements.

I am rejecting this response because Mr L[redacted] continues to slander my name and try to act as if I'm being dishonest. He refuses to address the damage to my property. He continues to ignore the facts as they are that I did not receive quality service and Jet Seals poor resolution has lead us to this point in time.  Revdex.com I need your assistance on getting this settled as I have the damage to the garage apron and still need to have my driveway resealed which the refund is fine but he needs to address the damage to the apron as this was caused by his crew's sloppy work also in the one picture you can see in the grass which has grown out over time but shows for the lack of respect and unprofessional work done at my home. They did not respond as they listed below and I called back several times speaking to a call agent which said someone would get back to me with no call back until I started sending email after email. I did not wait over a month. I was trying to be patient and work with them and allow them to reseal but they canceled doing the job and stated they were done for the year. Also if he has nothing to hide why did he sneak over to my property with out me being there and never called to address what he was doing? I have attached all pictures and contract. In that I was presented professional services and per these pictures you can see that is not what was presented. Any questions please feel free to contact me.

Dear Sir or Madam, Mr. [redacted]'s allegation that Jet-Seal never got back to him is just not true. My administration staff spoke to him several times and left voice messages as well. I visited his home on October 23, 2015 as shown by the pictures I supplied and we exchanged several emails. A member of my staff called and left a voice message describing my findings on October 24, 2015 and he didn't respond back until November 24, 2015, a month later. During that time I assumed he was satisfied with the work. I don't understand why Mr. [redacted] is making an issue out of not meeting with him to go over his concerns. During our busy season I visit 25 to 30 homes / businesses a day, seven days a week, primarily taking measurements for the purpose of working up quotes. I am the lone estimator. If I complied with every customer's request to meet personally I would never be able to complete all the requests for free quotes. His concerns were addressed, I offered what I considered a more than fair resolution and he declined. Jet-Seal was built on quality work using quality materials and excellent customer service. In all the years I have been a member of the Revdex.com and all the years before this is only the second complaint. We have the highest rating possible on Angies List. We work with over 5000 customers a year, so that's a tough feat to accomplish. My offer still stands. I will refund the entire amount he paid or come out next spring and reseal, making a seamless transition between the asphalt and the concrete. I would prefer the former since as his response that we never got back to him indicates, he is being less than honest.Sincerely,Ted L[redacted]Jet-Seal, LLC

pictures in an effort to save time in addressing the issues since this was our busiest time of the season. On October 9, 2015 Mr. [redacted] sent pictures describing his concerns. The delay was twofold; it takes a couple of weeks for the product to fully cure. The exact amount of time depends on several factors including temperatures and humidity. As I stated earlier it was also the busiest time of the season. Upon said inspection I found that the grass had no trace of the product ever being there. no noticeable streaks (please see attached picture [redacted]1_10_23) and what Mr. [redacted] refers to as "splashes of asphalt sealer on my concrete floor of my garage apron." This statement is a bit misleading. There was sealer on the concrete between the asphalt and the surface of the apron. There was sealer on the vertical part of the apron, this is the area where the asphalt abuts to the concrete. (Please refer to pictures [redacted]2_10_23 and [redacted]3_10_23) At some point Mr. [redacted]'s asphalt had settled and exposed this area. It is not the floor or a surface area as Mr. [redacted] describes. The sealer on this area could have been from my crew's application or from a previous application and not noticeable until the settling of the asphalt occurred. Either way, I was not going to argue about it. I always try to give the customer the benefit of the doubt. The same administrator (Jeanie S[redacted] called Mr. [redacted] the next day, October 24, 2015 and left a voice message explaining my findings. I didn't hear back from him until November 24, 2015. Dear Madam,
I am not slandering Mr. [redacted]’s name. It is only slander if I am
speaking falsely, which I am not. The fact of the matter is that Mr. [redacted] did
receive a quality job and Jet-Seal has returned every telephone call and email.
I have ordered a copy of my telephone records for the time period in which we
were communicating. I was told on December 25, 2015 by a Time Warner
representative that the process would take approximately ten business days,
possibly a bit longer due to the holidays. The records will show numerous calls to Mr. [redacted] including a call after
inspecting the work at Mr. [redacted]’s residence on October 23, 2015. The next correspondence was not made until November 24, 2015 when I
received an email from Mr. [redacted] stating that he still had unresolved issues.
Once again I will address Mr. [redacted]’s complaints. The first thing
he mentions in his initial complaint is streaks. The streaks are a result of
the curing process and it was explained that they would disappear as the product
cures. To better understand the drying
and cure process, visualize the wet film not as one solid entity but as a
composite of numerous layers of molecular thin films (imagine a sheet of
plywood). Like most water-based coatings, sealcoating dries in
successive layers, from top to bottom. As each layer dries, it shrinks in volume,
becomes tight and relatively impervious, thereby impeding the evaporation of
water from the bottom layers. Cumulative water loss happens rapidly in the
early stages of film drying—in other words the first 80-90% of the film dries
relatively fast, but the release of the last 15-20% of water takes much longer,
up to two weeks. As the picture I took on October 23, 2015 ([redacted]1_10_23) shows,
the streaks have disappeared. Please understand that the pictures Mr. [redacted]
submitted were taken the day the driveway was sealed, October 8, 2015.
His second concern was as he
described, “a mess in my yard.” It was explained to Mr. [redacted] that sealer on the
grass was unfortunate but harmless and would come out with the next cutting.
There is no sealer residual or damage whatsoever to the grass.
The third portion of his
complaint asserted that my team left “splashes of
asphalt sealer on my concrete floor of my garage apron.” There is no
asphalt sealer on the “floor” of the concrete. There is asphalt sealer on the “face”
of the concrete. This is the area where the asphalt meets the concrete. It is
not intended to be exposed. Mr. [redacted]’s asphalt has sunk, due to improper
compaction during the installation process exposing this area. This is the area
I refer to as the “face” of the concrete apron. Please refer to the pictures I
submitted ([redacted]2_10_23 and [redacted]3_10_23). If you look closely you will see a gap
between the asphalt and the concrete. It is this area where sealer is on the
concrete. It would be most difficult if not impossible to adequately seal the
entirety of the asphalt without making contact with this "face" area.
I have offered Mr. [redacted] one of two remedies in
an earnest effort to resolve this matter; a complete refund of the $99 he paid
for the work or to come out next spring, as weather permits and re-seal, taping
the floor to provide a crisp transition from the asphalt to the concrete apron floor. (Please
see attached picture [redacted]4). My preference would be a refund since Mr. [redacted] has
been particularly difficult to deal with.
As you know I have an A+ rating with the Revdex.com
and was recently awarded the “Super Service Award” for 2015 by Angie’s List.
This award is reserved for the top 5% of service providers in their respective industry.
I will be out of town from January 9, 2016
thru January 25, 2016 and won’t have access to any of my records. Please keep
this in mind for future correspondence.
Sincerely,
Ted L[redacted]President

I am rejecting this response because: the visit he described was not done with my knowledge and all of the calls were made by me multiple times trying to resolve with them and the splashed on my garage apron were caused by then which I address as soon as it happened. Every time I called they told me someone would get back with me and they never did
