Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/03/28) */
On March 3/16 Jetco was at [redacted] to "descale" the [redacted] tankless heater. While there the plumber installed an isolation valve on the recirculation line (missed at original installation) and fixed a gas leak on the gas feed to the...

heater. Both items were no charge as they were workmanship issues. As was pointed out to the customer later the entire maintenance portion of the descaling was not completed (as per Jetco policy). On March 7/16 a gas smell was noticed by the customer and confirmed by [redacted]. A plumber was dispatched and the leak fixed at no charge. Around March 16/16 another gas leak was confirmed by [redacted] and the customer forwarded a complaint to the Revdex.com who forwarded it to Jetco the following day. I was forwarded the complaint on Mar. 21/16. Because there was a gas leak involved I talked to the customer that day and dispatched a plumber the next day to fix the leak, check the rest of the gasline in the mechanical room around the tankless heater. At this point in time we will be sending a letter of apology to the customer with a refund for the "descale" maintenance that was done. As an aside, there was a general meeting within our service department to BE SURE all our plumbers are aware of what is required when a [redacted] descale is done.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2016/04/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The leak appears fixed and the refund for the service seems fair.
