To whom it may concern:
My name is *** ***, I am the managing agent for Parkwood Gardens Condominium Association. I reviewed the complaint that was recently submitted to the Revdex.com. In response, I would initially like to point out that Mrs*** stated, "My
property manager was in constant contact with Ms*** from November until the present to assist with getting the issue resolved." Never did I neglect the issue of leaks in the roof and kept clear communication with her and her property manager. Referring to the second leak, she had clear instructions to have a vendor of her choice determine the cause of the leak since it appeared unlikely that it would be do to the roof, which was just replaced. Living in Colorado, it is imperative to keep thermostats set relatively high so that pipes do not freeze and break. In the event this would happen, it would be a Homeowners responsibility for the repairs, and therefore it needed to be ruled out prior to me taking further action. As Mrs*** mentioned, she had tenants move out and therefore the unit was vacant for a period of time, where the heat may very well have been turned down or off. The property manager understood and said that he would send someone out to assess the situation, then I never heard back
There was one call that I did not return from Mrs***. This was because I had just got off the phone with her property manager in regard to having to determine the source of the leak, and she called hostile and argumentative. No one in our office shall be subject to that kind of behavior
I appreciate your time in reviewing my response. If there are any questions, I would be happy to respond
Sincerely,
*** ***

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
To Whom it May Concern,
I read  [redacted] response and wanted to touch upon a few points.
When we found out about the first leak, [redacted] was responsive.  it took the matter awhile to be resolved, but it was handled and I was VERY thankful for her communication and willingness to solve the problem.  I know it was not an easy task.
I do not have a problem  with [redacted] and the initial leak.  The problem I have is with the second one.
First, [redacted] was called several times and I have documentation showing the date called. I ([redacted]) telephoned her February 18th, 2014, February 19th, 2014 and February 21, 2014 and never heard back from her.  In addition, I ([redacted]) sent her a certified letter on February 25, 2014 requesting that she contact us regarding the second leak, which her office recieved and was signed for by someone in her office on February 28, 2014, and again, I still have not received a telephone call from her.  The only phone call I recieved from ms. [redacted] was on January 18th, 2014, when she told [redacted] that the restoration men would be going out to the condo to complete the repair on the drywall, regarding the initial leak.  She has never spoken with either of us regarding the second leak.  She did speak with our property manager asking for him to ask us to have our own contractor come out and to take a look.....I will touch upon that issue  later on.
Second, I was never rude to  any of her staff.  I have never spoken with anyone on her staff, only Ms. [redacted], and only on January 18, 2014.  Again, Ms. [redacted] has not returned any telephone calls after January 18, 2014.  I have only been able to leave voicemail messages; I have never
spoken with anyone at her office.  However, if someone is rude, the professional way to handle that situation is to call the person involved and todiscuss it.....NOT ignore the person because you do want to talk to them.
Third.  [redacted] asked our property manager, Jim [redacted], to have a third party person to look at the cause of the leak.  I initially informed Mr. [redacted] we did not want to interfere with an HOA issue.  Our fear was as soon as we have our contractor tear into the wall.....it becomes our problem and the HOA does not have to accept responsibility.  However, because the leak continued and there was no response from Ms. [redacted], we allowed Mr. [redacted] to have his maintenance person to look at the leak.  He determined that the leak was in fact
coming from the roof.
Fourth.  The heat not being on.  Our heat has been on the whole time except for a 24 hour period, from November 14-November 15, 2013.  My father, Tom Horton and our property manager can confirm this.  I also have the utility bill for said apartment that shows the power and heat were on the whole time.
Finally, and most importantly, the second leak has still not been resolved.  The ceiling continues to leak.  This is my most important issue.  While I am dissappointed that Ms. [redacted] has not been returning telephone calls, it is most important that my property is repaired in a quick manner so that no further damage is done and that my tenants are able to live in a safe and comfortable apartment.
I do not want to battle with [redacted] and Jewel Property Management.  I just want to make sure this problem gets resolved so I do not loose another tenant that cost me several thousand dollars. I also want my current tenants to have a great experience.
In order for both things to happen.....we need [redacted] to work with us.  I understand this is not an easy issue.  If all parties work together and communicate clearly to on another, we can resolve this issue immediately.  My hope is that by going through the Revdex.com, we can work together and I wil be able to post that the situation was handled with speed and care.
Regards,
[redacted] and [redacted]
