I insured my wedding ring with Jewelers Mutual Insuarnce Company and was assured for over an hour on the phone with the rep that it covered and time of theft or damage. I went over many many scenarios to the rep in which I was advised " any type of theft" was covered. I was more concerned with damage than I was theft but I was very very very thorough with this company.
A year later my husband and I began divorce proceedings and me and my little girl had no where to go. I attempted to sell my ring on EBay in which I had dealt with them plenty selling children's books. Somehow the transaction was hacked but I have thorough and specific evidence of everything that happened and I was frauded out of a seven thousand dollar ring. I had attempted to sell it for 4500. Even with all the evidence the Insuarnce company had me file a claim ( of course I contacted FBI ad police) and I continued to wait for two weeks with periodic requests from the rep which I answered and or submitted. After two weeks she says Oh, we don't cover FRAUD!!! What! I had emails from EBay and PayPal confirming translations, funds confirmed, I had to ship my ring! I sat there with tears down my face. This insurance company will find a loop hole . They will make one up but I had NO INTENT regrading this fraud and my heart is just broken that they would do this. I have filed a complaint with the Department of Insurance and I am now taking them to small claims. DONT INSURE ANHYTHING WITH THEM!! NOTHING!

Simply getting the service I paid for was more complicated and stressful than my entire wedding thanks to the rude and inconsiderate [redacted] She was rude and nasty to shane company and myself. It took almost a month to get it taken care of actually I'm still waiting and it seemed like she went out of her way to make it the most unpleasant experience. She was polite and informative via email however over the phone was another experience. She told me that she did not have time to look over my documents and would wait until the end of the day at the end of the week do do anything and leave simple things pending until the following week when it was not necessary.She lied to me and when we were almost done jumping through her hoops she went on vacation for over a week. She would wait to tell me something I needed to do until the end of the work day, she leaves early every day. It was one thing after another with her. Poor attitude, limited communication skills, and she apparently is unfamiliar with her companies policies. They are supposed to work with Jewelers and due to her foulness, my shane co store in Scottsdale AZ will most likely never work with Jewelers mutual again. In the process of searching for a new insurance company who can meet my needs in a positive and timely manner rather than add to my stress. I could go on an on however I'm sure I am not the first to have grief with this worker [redacted] Myself, mother, aunt, and grandmother are ending our policies.

I have been a customer of Jewelers Mutual for forty years this year. I have on occasion had to file a claims for losses. On those occasions, I could not be more pleased with the fast and fair response to settle my claims.
I have also referred thousands of my jewelry buyers to JM for their individual insurance needs. I know that if there happens to be a claim, that their adjusters will work diligently and quickly to replace the jewelry.
