This contractor advertised*** EXCHANGE PAPER FOR***, ***, *** AND *** THE WAS A LICENSED BONDED INSURED CONTRACTOR AS JEWELL'S CONTRACTING, ***T HE HAD A FULL CREW ***T COULD PERFORM ALL KINDS OF WORK, INCLUDING, DECKS, CEMENT WORK, ROOFING ETC. I CALLED HIM ASKED HIM IF HE PUT IN CEMENT PATIOS AND WALKWAYS HE SAID HE DID. TOLD HIM TO COME OVER AND GIVE ESTIMATE FOR INSTALLING A CEMENT PATIO ,WITH A BRUSHED FINISH WALK WAY AND A CEMENT PAD IN FRONT OF A BACK DOOR. HE GAVE ME A VERBAL ESTIMATE OF $28.00 AND TOLD ME AND MY WIFE WHEN ASKED HIM FOR A WRITTEN CONTRACT ***T HE WOULD BRING ONE OR HAVE HIS WIFE EMAIL ME ONE. WE ASKED HIM ON TWO OCCASIONS. NEVER GOT ONE. IT IS THE WORSE CEMENT JOB , THERE ARE ON EVEN SPOTS, CRIMPS IN THE CEMENT, NOT BRUSHED PATTERN AS I REQUEST,GOT CEMENT ALL OVER THE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE, NEW DECK ,SPA BARBECUE COVER,POURED A LARGE AMOUNT OF CEMENT IN A PLANTER AND KILLED THE PLANTS, GOT CEMENT ALL OVER THE NEW WOOD STEPS, LEFT A TOTAL MESS IN THE YARD WITH BOARDS AND GARBAGE OF STUFF THEY DRINK ALL OVER THE YARD. THIS MAN IS SUPPOSE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL THIS IS THE WORSE CEMENT JOB I HAVE EVER SEEN.MY SON IS A BUILDING CONTRACTOR OF SPEC HOMES AND HE CANNOT BELIEVE THIS GUY IS LICENSED . MY 10 YEAR GRANDDAUGHTER COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER AND NEATER JOB.. I THINK GUY HAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF OTHERS TOO. I HAVE TO HIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO COME AND TRY TO MAKE THE PATIO LOOK HAVE WAY DECENT BY POURING A SHIM COAT AT THE TUNE OF $1000.00 ***T IS HOW BAD THE CEMENT PATIO LOOKS. IT SLOPES IN THE WRONG PLACES SO ***T WATER STANDS IN AREAS. BAD BAD BAD

Other (requires explanation) I THINK THIS SUPPOSED CONTRACTOR NEEDS TO REFUND ME $1000.00 THE AMOUNT MONEY I HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE TO CLEAN UP THE CEMENT ALL OVER THE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE, THE DECK,POUR A SHIM COAT ON THE PATIO TO EVEN IT OUT , AND GIVE A BRUSHED PATTERN AS I HAD REQUESTED. IT EVEN LOOKS LIKE THERE IS A CRACK STARTING IN THE CENTER OF THE PATIO.. AND TO PREVENT HIM FROM TAKING ADVANTAGE OF SOMEONE ELSE.. THIS GUY IS A FAST TALKER AND I FEEL HE HAS *** SHODDY JOBS ELSEWHERE AND LEFT PEOPLE LIKE ME A MESS
We came to finish and do clean up. Mr. would not allow us to do so. We worked hard, and dug it out by hand, because we could not get the proper equipment on the job site. We did ad he ask. We always do clean up. after job is completed. He would not allow, us to do so. Nor would he allow us to make right his complaint. We have a great crew, and always work hard to satisfy our costumers, we are sorry, this customer wasn't satisfied. Some people cannot be happy no matter how hard one tries. We feel we have done all we can do.

there is no excuse for the lousy cement job and the mess he left us and his son's initials in our cement.Nor are we responsible for him not having the right equipment.Not only did he do a unprofessional cement job he left a mess in our yard, cement spatters all over our new deck,spa,side of our house, steps, piles of cement embedded in our planting bed,trowel marks all over the cement in no pattern, holes in the cement, it slopes all over in several areas so that the water will not run off. I hired what he said he was a contractor experienced cement work and and paid $2800.00 for him to leave us with a mess, I had to hire another contractor to come in and fix the mess, put shim coat on it to cover up the mess he left and it cost me another $1200.00. it looks really nice now. I called this man several times to come back I wanted to talk to him, what he did was send son over here to sneak in our yard to try and get the forms out that he left. My wife saw a person in our backyard and questioned him what he was doing here.Told him to get his tools and leave that we wanted his father to come over and see this mess he left us. I bet he is not licensed contractor as he claims. a licensed cement contractor wouldn't never have left us with a mess, splattered cement all over our new deck, spa, side our house, left chunks of cement embedded in our planters. left garbage all over, left their large initials in plain view.I had to pay over $1200.00 to correct the mess.If he could not do the job properly or had the right equipment he should not have said he could do the job.I will see him in court , I have pictures of the mess he left. I have receipts for what it cost me to clean up the mess and fix my patio the way he should have done in the first place, this man is joke and no I do not want him any where near my property or anyone else's. I am sure I am not the only he has done this too. He needs to pay me $1200.00 that I had to pay out to fix his mess. I plan to consult with an attorney that is how bad that cement work was. My son is one of the largest building contractors in this area and he could not believe what a shoddy job this was that this supposed licensed contractor left us with.Even the fellow I hired could not believe it until he saw how poorly the work was and the mess they left...
