Thank you for your emailSlatter Management works under the direction of the Board that are elected by the communities that we serveAs such, Megan works under the supervision and direction of the Board
Megan did extensive research on a playground and sent this to the BoardThe Board made a decision not to install a playground based on the financial needs of the community
I would be happy to put you in touch with the Board President if you wish to discuss this matter further as they can provide you with some more insight into the Board's decision

Thank you for responseI would like to be in contact with the president of the BoardHowever, I would like to emphasize that this is not extensive research being that there are no comparisons within the two categories of industrial and non-industrial style playground equipmentAdditionally, I do not believe this request was presented as a viable option given the initial resistance and persistent excusesLastly, I still do not know what procedure or grounds the Board is looking for before I formally request a playground
I contacted the Board President on 08/prior to *** response and discussed how the Board would like to proceedThe Board President instructed Slatter to send an email to *** giving their method of evaluation of a playground and their final decisionThe Board President did not see the value in meeting with *** to go over information that had already been discussed at length and communicated to her already
On 08/10/Kay T*** sent the following response to ***:
I reached out to the Board President and sent him a copy of your emailThe Board have responded as follows:
"The Board of Directors listened to your request for a community playground and took the request most seriouslyWe asked Megan to do research and provide information on different options and we were pleased with the amount of research, options and information she provided to the BoardAfter the Board voted against installing a community playground Megan sent a formal letter to you providing feedback on the reasons for the decision that was reached (a copy is attached)The Board of Directors have closed this item of business and have no further comments or discussion to make on the topic."
On a personal note, *** and myself think that Megan has done an outstanding job looking into the playground and providing the Board with the information they requestedThe Board are made up of elected volunteers and their time is both valued and appreciatedAll parties have spent a lot of time and energy on this community issue and their final decision was made with due consideration for all of the factors involved, including:
Initial cost
Future maintenance costs
Increased liability/insurance costs
Change of use of common area
I hope this helps to clarify the work that was done and the Board's position on the matter
In regards to communication since 08/10/16, I received a voicemails on my work number (***) on 08/& 08/however these were not retrieved until 08/as two of our lines had needed repairs to the voicemail feature, mine includedI was on vacation from the afternoon of 08/through 09/and noted to contact *** upon my return to the office todayI will be happy to provide a copy of the bill from our telephone repair provider to validate this
As you can see from the lengthy and detailed email correspondence, each communication was answered within 24hrs
In response to *** request to meet with me, I am happy to do so with the understanding that I do not have authority over the Board of Directors, the Board of Directors have authority over Slatter Management and I cannot speak for the Board unless directed to do soI can certainly listed and give my feedback regarding her request for a playground and the other avenues open to her within the boundaries of the legal documents that govern the Homeowners Association
